It's like a rock-opera, not like Band On The Run .
Which are your favorites of the album? These are mine:
P.S. My dad leads a music festival, and last year there was jazz guy who knew him who played the soprano-sax on 'Listen to What The Man Said' and the jazz guy had recorded a version of 'Live And Let Die ' with Paul in New Orleans.
And the worst thing is, he promised me to give these pics to Paul and sign 'em (but he never did).

Offline I love the whole damn thing. It may be my favorite Wings album. My favorite song is Love in Song. Those who think Paul is completely lightweight need only listen to this song to be proven wrong. Of course, other songs on the album do show lightweight Paul…Treat Her Gently and You Gave Me the Answer. They are good songs, though. I love when Paul does his '20s songs. He certainly has a knack for them.

Offline I hate you Paulsbass. Not serious, but you always make me feel stupid when you give all these raves, while I give these albums good, but not great marks. Then I re-listen, and realize I’m wrong. Also, why don’t I have Letting Go on my Ipod still?

I know it looks nice, but if you don't have a 64000bts/s conncection it takes awfully long to scroll down these threads! Even quoting these postings takes much longer.

Offline Venus And Mars is definitely one of my favorite Paul albums, and my favorites from it are Listen To What the Man Said, Venus And Mars , Rockshow and Letting Go !
After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.

Offline I have a question.
I’m trying to find this album on CD, but the only things I’ve seen online are either a $75 edition (?) or vinyls. iTunes doesn't seem to have it either.
Is it out of print?

Offline It's probably not on iTunes because it is about to be re-released. You could probably find a cheap copy on eBay. That's where I got it in record format. If I were you, I would just wait for the re-release because it will probably have some extras, too. Until then, you could listen on youtube or “borrow” it from a file sharing place like the Pirate Bay…but of course replace it with a legal copy when it comes out.

Offline Many of the macca albums havent been available for download for ages.
Faves on Venus And Mars are Letting Go (a highlight when paul played live), Medicine Jar and You Gave Me The Answer. However its a really strong album throughout. Wings did hit a period where they made constantly high quality music.
