No, the tracklisting is all over the place. 67 songs on four CDs; 39 songs on two CDs, or 41 songs on the four-disc vinyl (which adds New and Too Many People and reorders them, compared to the 2xCD version). I assume the digital download will be the 67 song version.

“Deliver Your Children” has always been one of my faves. Had to learn the little guitar lick the moment London Town came out. May be the best song on the album.

Rolling Stone for some reason has it different
The collection will be available in three different formats of varying length and track list. The four-CD set will boast a whopping 67 songs, while the two-CD collection will feature 49 tracks and the four-vinyl LP 46. Complete track lists for each edition are available below.

I still have cassettes and two tape players. The only formats I don’t have are 78 rpm vinyl, 8-track and reel to reel.
I take that back, I have one 78 that was released recently but I can’t play it.
I might still have one 8-track in a box somewhere but no player…worst format ever.

I have a good handful of UK and US reel to reels. Some were bought with my college student loan – it was those or study books. I stand by my decision.
I also have reel to reel boxes that are empty. They were going cheap with some of the others, this was in the day when if it was Beatles I’d be interested in buying.

So is anyone buying this?I’m not. I have it all already and can compile a far better, more complete overview of Paul’s career.
Likewise.
If I made compilations. I think I’ve made 2; both of Mike Oldfield – one to remake an LP sequence no longer available and one to put together his Taurus 1 – 2 – 3 compositions which are on different CDs; they play nicely sequentially.

It does, it has Sing The Changes from Electric Arguments.
Which makes me wish he’d included Nothing Too Much Just Out Of Sight from the same album, or Cut Me Some Slack with Sirvana. I love it when McCartney rocks out.
Dang, I can’t read. Yeah the first track was a better idea. Back to playing ukulele then.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Rolling Stone can’t add up. They have the tracklistings correct, but the numbers in the article are wrong.
iTunes has 67 tracks, not 69 – I guess that was your typo?

Did Paul and his team opt for some of the softer album tracks deliberately? Would have thought Paul would want to try and ditch that image so why not throw on ‘Beware My Love’ and ‘Monkberry Moon Delight ‘ and show Paul going for it instead of ‘Heart Of The Country ‘ (which was on ‘Wingspan’) and ‘Warm and Beautiful’ from the same albums? A bit of juggling and i’m sure the changes would work time-wise. Same goes for the selections from ‘Back To The Egg ‘, ‘Wild Life ‘ and ‘London Town ‘. ‘Girlfriend’ appears again (it also was on ‘Wingspan’) is ‘I’ve Had Enough’ any worse, at least it rocks a bit. ? Why not include one of the rockier numbers over ‘Baby’s Request’ (if thats where ‘Baby’s Request’ is from)? Paul hates ‘Bib Bip’, does he despise everything else on ‘Wild Life ‘ more? Cut a track or two from ‘Band On The Run ‘, ‘New’ or ‘Flaming Pie ‘ and add some deeper later Wings cuts that also have balls.
Why on earth is there just 1 track representing the 1987 to 1997 period? ‘Flowers In The Dirt ‘ is the next archive reissue so it cant be that its viewed as not worthy yet is completely ignored. Looking back in 3 years no one is going to buy this and remember ‘FITD’ was issued a couple of months later as if its some explanation for the oversight. ‘Winedark Open Sea’ is what is selected to represent ‘Off The Ground ‘. I love the song but how did ‘Hope Of Deliverance’ get omitted? (Thought: Is Paul trying to wipe out Elvis Costello’s contribution?)
And I can only imagine ‘Hope For The Future ‘ is included so its available to buy on CD cause its one hell of a piece of McCartney crap – yet still less a pile of crap than the abysmal video.
A while back I put together a McCartney playlist that was an overview of his career. I think i’ll do the same again. Should be fun and will be better than the above. No idea how it will remain as 4 cds tho.
