Bought this remastered CD and I can hardly tell anything’s been done to it. Maybe the acoustic guitars sound a bit more full and less tinny sounding, but that’s all I can notice. Should have just stayed with the original.
Anyone else heard it?
–I’ve sampled a few more tracks and it seems the original has a slightly more polished sound. The remaster sounds a big grungier and rocks out a bit more. Another way of saying wat I’m hearing is that the remaster has a big boost of bass, which tends to drown out some of the more trebly sounds that can be heard on the original CD. It reminds me a bit of what they did to Flowers In The Dirt (they de-80’s’d it–yeah I know this one is a 90’s cd, but it seems they were trying to change that same aesthetic). Can’t decide which I like better, so I guess I’ll keep both. The fold-out poster has a different picture anyway.

Offline I just heard the whole album. I don’t think this needed to be remastered. The original album has more clarity. I’m wondering now if any McCartney albums 1990 onward need a remaster?
