Paul’s site has a contest to design his Facebook cover photo for “New.”
Man, I actually have an idea for this that would be great if I could, y’know, design. Maybe a collaboration with a more talented forum member?

WogBlog confirms the Japanese bonus tracks for “New.” There’ll be three, with one called “Struggle.” This is a bit different from the unconfirmed tracks originally reported. [x-posted at the news thread]

I am ‘struggling’ to understand why we can’t just have the album released the same in all countries – I thought we got over this differential nonsense back after the differing UK/US releases were sorted in the ’60s.

The album is the same thru-out the world, everyone gets the same 12 tracks no matter what version you buy and where. Its the bonus tracks on the deluxe editions that are different. Its a small technicality that annoys 99% of people.

^^ Yes, I should have been more specific that it is the deluxe edition I was referring to. But since we are hardcore fans here, I’m sure many/most of us are planning on getting at least one of the deluxe editions. It’s very annoying.
Speaking of multiple versions… Beatlefan reports that this interview with be included in one of Target’s exclusive versions of “New.” [x-posted to the news thread]

One could always just buy one deluxe edition and then download the other bonus tracks via iTunes…yes?

That’s been my question all along – I wonder if the bonus tracks will be grayed out so you can’t download individually.

Worst case, after we’ve all bought whichever version of the album we all individually want, we can share the bonus tracks so that everyone can have every one.

That’s technically illegal and in no way should be endorsed but don’t forget to PM me to. The whole damn cd will be torrented within seconds of release anyway, if not before, and the bonus tracks will be freely available on youtube and any number of places. All this stupid regionising of tracks does is force people who would be more than happy to pay for them to go to unofficial sources to get them.
Yes we can order the limited Taiwanese version thru some website, pay £40 in shipping and wait 3 months for delivery, but practically no one is going to do that when you can pop on youtube, download whatever it is you want, and have it on your ipod for free within 3 minutes.
You can buy the two bonus tracks from Kisses On The Bottom individually on iTunes for 99p each. Surprisingly there is a £7.20 KOTB which is missing a track and strangely it’s My Valentine . Even more bizarre is that the song is mentioned in the album review. So if you bought that version and then the single track because you didn’t have it you’d end up paying an extra 19p. Now that would piss everyone off as you don’t even get the full original album.

One possibly could, but I like all my music on CDs as much as I can in this modern world, and without having to buy multiple copies to do so.
I realise this is a pipedream.
