I never realized that Paul was such a staunch advocate for mass public transit. He also wrote about the Magical Mystery Tour bus, that was “coming, hoping, and dying to take you away.” Dying? Now that’s enthusiasm.

Well if you’re waiting for the van to come, and it doesn’t – you take the bus.
John wrote the line about “waiting for the van to come,” so he too must be a staunch advocate of mass public transit. Come to think of it, John also wrote about “newspaper taxis,” and waiting on the train platform for the “One After 909 .” Hmm… “Number 9, number 9, number 9″… that sounds a lot like a public address announcement for the arrival of a train or a bus in a crowded station. And in “I’ve Got A Feeling ,” Paul sang “I’d hate to miss the train”….
There might have been a point where I figured this was all adding up to something, but my, uh… train of thought seems to have jumped the track.
