With the announcement that he’s been added to the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas in September and this write-up, momentum is starting to build:

As always, I’m interested to see, or rather hear, what Sir Paul comes up with. I’m sure it’ll be good, anyway. I loved his last album, despite or perhaps because of the fact that it was mostly covers, so I look foward to this one. Will he ever slow down, that’s what I wonder.

I liked the last album, though I know it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

^ I can understand why people who are more Rock kind of fans weren’t that keen but me, as well as being big on Rock, I love Jazz music, so I really loved it. I must admit, it did take time. The first time I listened to it I thought it the worst lp he’s ever made but it was a grower, and I slowly discovered other music of the same style, too.

I really liked Kisses, as well as his last rock album (MAF) so I’m really looking forward to hearing this new one!

Agreed. From Kisses, I love “My Valentine ” and, having grown up with The Muppets’ version, “Inchworm.”

Even in the latest interviews, Paul and Ethan Johns have said they haven’t necessarily culled from all of the tracks recorded what will be the final track listing and running order! Although I’d imagine that’s just a PR move…they’ve got to have at least that settled if it’s to be released in October. Either way, massively excited!

Whatever happened to the days when you bought a cd and that was it? Nowadays if you to go iTunes you get this bonus track, amazon is another, if you order from Japan you get lyrics, pullouts, stickers, and an autographed toy monkey, Tesco paying 3 weeks in advance you get an alternate running order with different artwork, asda and you get a dvd interview, target is a limited edition box with t-shirt and alternate interview cd.
If I buy the album I want the full thing (interview, stickers, interview). I don’t make it a bloody obstacle course where I have to draw up a spreadsheet filled with mathematical equations that compares all the options to work out what I want and where it is cheapest.
God forbid we got Pepper nowadays, you’d spend 4 months getting the artwork together.
