You’re listening to the wrong song, mmm.
From Joe’s feature on the “Paul Is Dead” myth:
“At the end of I’m So Tired , John Lennon mutters ‘Monsieur, monsieur, monsieur, how about another one?’ When played backwards, this was interpreted by some as ‘Paul is dead, man, miss him, miss him’.”

In fairness to Dave Marsh Spies Like Us is s**t (in my opinion). More evidence that 95% of Paul’s mid-80’s output should be deleted from all existence – or put last in the Archive release schedule with everything taken off the net so people want it more.

Forgive my ignorance….I clearly hear “Paul is a dead man, etc”….so, what was the purpose of their doing that if they were not (as they have said all along) putting out clues that Paul was dead? Why would John say that on that song? Why were there other “clues” which they claim are not clues? I’m confused (as usual).

What you have to ask yourself is whether they were doing that? That a muttering at the end of a song by John was “intended” by them to be played backwards to get its true meaning. In which case, you would have them sat around the studio, listening to a correct way around recording of the phrase played backwards, and trying to work out from that what John could mutter at the end of the song that would give them the phrase they wanted when played backwards. Or is it more likely that some unusual things happen when you play things backwards.
Though not always that unusual. Back in the days of vinyl, when people would be showing me these hidden backwards messages on my records on my record player, I’d always end up asking why they were trying to ruin my needle!
Still, some things are noticeable when played backwards. For instance, One Direction sound better!

I’m just going to take your word for that one. Because I don’t have the desire to hear them backwards or frontwards.

I know. You could be listening to Beatles music instead. A much wiser use of your time.
Save your sanity. Listen to the Beatles. We could make a bumper sticker out of that.

I can’t imagine 1D ever sounding good either backwards, forwards or side to side.

While I was looking up Paul is Dead thing, I found this German narrative about the PiD. At first I thought it was gonna be like the Paul McCartney Really Is Dead movie but I was pleasantly surprised. The fact in this movie seem much more accurate than the other one and it kept me invested in its plot. It’s about a kid who is a Beatlemaniac who discovers the PiD myth. If you wanna check it out maybe than here is part one with English subs. The rest is on the profile proper.

Nice one
I’ll have a look at this later, I study German in school and hope to study it in college also so I’m going to give a try without subtitles, from the first 50 seconds I could understand everything so I’m doing well
It’s the 4th Beatles thing I’ve watching in German (after Nowhere Boy, Backbeat and Living In The Material World ) Happy days
