This is the greatest thing to happen in Chicago since The Beatles came here (I was not alive yet)!!!!!!!!!!
Pauly is coming to Chicago on July 31 (sold out 10 minutes after they started selling them) and on August 1st!!! This is so amazing because I'm going! I have two tickets and they're in the mail. I wanted to know if anyone else is coming to the good Ol' Windy City to see Paul!?

I was unaware of the August 1st date. Thats my birthday… but I am going to the July 31st show.
If they sold out in ten minutes I got incredibly lucky. on getting my tickets. My internet was out for about a week, which happened to be the same week they announced the date. When I got the internet back I checked my facebook and the Paul McCartney Facebook page said something about the tickets going on sale today. They went on sale at 10am if I remember and it was 9:50 when I found out about the show.

Wow, I hope you have a good time! I saw him in London in December and that sold out in about 10 minutes too, and he only announced it the day before they went on sale, so I was really lucky to get tickets.
I think it's great you're going through a phase,
and I'm awfully glad it'll all be over in a couple
of days

Wow you were really lucky! I was lucky too because when they opened the second date, the tickets weren't sold in 10 mins but in 3 hrs, so after my niece tried to get them, I arrived home, tried with a friend's credit card (you need to have from a specific bank to get the tickets) and I got it!

Hey hi!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Did he wear that killer red jacket??
He did not. He wore a Blue suit coat (I think) for like 2 songs, but it quickly got removed and then he sported the classy suspender look for the rest of the night. It was REALLY hot last night.

I just got back from the concert at Wrigley…..
It was PHENOMENAL! Words can not describe how incredible it was. Truly a once in a life time experience.
Details, details please!
Well, He played for 3 hours straight. 830-1130. It was almost all Beatles songs, a couple of wings songs, the one fireman song. He opened with Hello Goodbye closed with the Golden Slumbers medley. It was pure adrenaline the entire show. Wrigley field was sold out and cram packed with Beatles fans. He told some funny stories such as when he played Back In The USSR in Russia. And some Russian government official was saying how he learned the English language by listening to his songs. Words such as Hello and Goodbye. He did a small tribute to Jimi Hendrix by playing a bit of Foxey lady at the end of Let me Roll in (I think) and then told a story about how Jimi opened up a show by playing Sgt Peppers 2 days after the album was released. He said jimis guitar was very out of tune, and he yelled into the crowd “Hey Eric! [Clapton] Are you out there I need you to tune this thing.”
The fireworks during Live And Let Die were amazing. highlights i would have to say was singing the AHHHHHHHHHHH during A Day In The Life , singing Give Peace A Chance , and the na na nas of Hey Jude . It was one of those experiences where it seems like words have not yet been invented to describe it. by the end of the show I could barely see because of all the sweat that had been dripping in my eyes all night because everyone was dancing the whole show.
Simply phenomenal.

Thanks for the review Red. Sounds like a good time was had by all in “The Friendly Confines“.
Did you manage to take any pictures or capture video?
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

My friend who came with to the concert took a good amount of pictures and got videos of Let it Be, Hey Jude , and I think Band On The Run I will post them here when they are available.
Someone's posted a 50-minute chunk of the concert on YouTube. Not great quality.
