Was the Italian restaurant you’re talking about called Fenicci’s?
Yes it was. From the second we walked in, the aroma of there marinara made my mouth water. If it wasn’t so late, I could have gone for a huge plate of anything smothered in the sauce that emitted that heavenly scent. Whenever I get back to Hershey, that will be a “must stop here”. We laughed when our server brought our check to the table. In some restaurants, they include complimentary mints on the same tray as the check. Here, it was two Hershey Kisses. When in Rome…

The Paulettes would have loved the part (forget which song) when he slowly turned and shook his bum for the camera. The shrieking that ensued almost made me feel like I was at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964.
Paul even commented on how beautiful it was.
Did he proceed to fall on his face and chip a tooth after noticing the moon, or did he leave that part out?
Thank you for the review, @Zig. I wish I could have been there.

Will do, and glad you had a great time and a great stay, too! We’ve not eaten at Fenicci’s yet, but everyone here has recommended it (we don’t live in Hershey, we actually live in Hummelstown, but right on the Hershey border…we’re MUCH closer to downtown Hershey than downtown Hummelstown). Like I said, my barber is in the basement of Fenicci’s and we keep meaning to try it out…now we *have* to!
Did you get a chance to visit Hershey Chocolate World before you left? If not, you should next time…the ride is free and they give you free chocolate at the end.

The show in Hershey last night was AMAZING. Even better than when I saw him in 2013. His voice sounded great, he and the band were tight as always, and there were so many new songs from when I saw him last time that it felt very fresh. He seemed really energetic and bouncy and the night was made even more special because I took my wife (her first time seeing him!) and our friends took all of our kids overnight, so it was the first time we had an overnight to ourselves since our oldest was born 12 years ago!Incredible show. I obviously had concerns about his voice from earlier in the tour but he nailed everything IMO. The bass was mixed nice and high, too, so you could really hear some of those great basslines he played. I’m going to write up a more detailed bit for my blog and include all of the pictures I took, but wow…Paul still brings it!
I’m glad someone else agrees with me that his voice is better than 2013! Kinda hard to believe considering he’s been almost constantly on tour…the “Out There” tour just kinda turned into the “one on one tour”. I think he stretched his voice more with this setlist than in 2013 too.
Y’know I was thinking – what I said about how I thought Paul’s voice and self was showcased more than 2013 and the band wasn’t as prominent – that’s probably why it’s called the “one on one tour.” He definitely picked some deeper cuts, lots of unexpected songs, and more spotlighting Paul with basically a backing band (I don’t think there was a bass solo, and few guitar solos other than Paul’s – and no drum solo other than the bit in The End ).
I’m glad to hear he was energetic for you – like I said he seemed a little tired (ha! I’d probably collapse after 2 songs lol) compared to 3 years ago. That indicates we’ll likely get at least one more chance to see him in this lifetime 🙂

I just saw Paul last night in Hamilton ON. I’m not much with words or detailed reviews, but it was an amazing show. I had seen him last time he was in the area so there weren’t as many surprises; but a few nice ones like You Won’t See Me , The Fool On The Hill and And I Love Her . I’ve been enjoying his New songs quite a lot lately. I was quite happy that Mull Of Kintyre was added with the local pipe band. I couldn’t help but think there were some mixing issues though. It could have been the stadium acoustic, but a lot of details were hard to hear in the louder tracks, including the vocals.
