Of couse, it was great seeing Paul performing life, and among other things, there was a moment when me and my sister were supposed to go to the lady’s room( after a couple a beers though
) so there was a line in front and then Paul started to sing Let it be…My sis, I and the others who were waiting outside just started singing along and dance …. It was so magical, how everyone No matter age, became ONE… That moment really touched me… So much happiness

Being stuck back in 1986 and still getting my ahead around cameras on phones I find that weird and unsettling.
I enjoy those 360 picture. Using Google Street View is a lot like that, and I ADORE Google Street View.

Offline I made it! And… I smuggled in everything I wanted to keep. It’s very sunny now. It’ll rain later but for now it’s lovely. Paul will be on stage in less than 8 hours.

Offline I made it to the front. I’m in frot of the left (right to Paul) video screen. The next 6 hours will determine whether or not I can move closer to the centre. Oh, and it’s pouring now. There are puddles in my shoes, but my spirit is very high.
ETA I’ve just been interviewed for Dutch national TV and I might have a small chance at giving Paul the gift I made for him

Wow, they let you guys in way in advance! I wonder when I should show up at the Ryman for Ringo next Sunday? (I will be getting to Nashville about mid-morning so I’m going to have several hours to burn, since I will have gotten the driving done before the hottest part of the day and the concert isn’t until 7:30pm…..)

Offline I’ll try to post something decent tomorrow. For now, I can tell it was a great day with a shitty end. I managed to speak to Paul’s PA and asked him to give the gift to him. He said I could give it at the end of the show, and then he never came back. Yes, I waited. I waited long enough to end up stranded. I’m cold, wet, and in a lot of pain. But, this needs to be said, the show was great. Paul played until well after midnight, ergo a full set, and the new show is Fab. I couldn’t see him, the camera was in the way, but I was right in front of the video screen so I could see the show there. And I had a fun interaction with Rusty. Alright, logging off for now. I need to reserve my battery a bit because it’ll be a long night.

Offline I still can’t believe I saw Paul. It was so amazing. <– That was me all throughout.
We had relatively good spots, good enough to see Paul, not good enough for any great pictures I’m afraid. The waiting in the rain was totally worth it. I loved his performances of Hey Jude , Live And Let Die , part of the Abbey Road Medley and many others and of course his (good) attempt at speaking dutch.
Though admittedly, his voice wasn’t the best it’s ever been, it was still fantastic. And let’s face it, he’s nearly 74.
I had an absolutely fantastic night.
