I think ‘With A Little Luck’ has been considered a couple of times over the years but Paul has never elected to promote it to set-list status. Going by the above rehearsal it would have made the cut if Wings had played Japan, sadly Paul got busted and the tour was cut.

@Shamrock Womlbs’s post got buried on the last page
where did he got the piano strings he put in his Rosetti guitar? and how did he manage to fit them in a guitar tunner?… and why didn’t he just put regular bass strings?
and can someone please tell me more about this, it sounds intriguing

@Sceptic Or, you know, they might not need a block of stone to remind them of their love for Mary McCartney. My grandfather never got one, my grandmother doesn’t have one, either. Do we love them any less? Of course not! You seem to believe Paul (and the rest of the Macca’s, but mostly him) is in the wrong. but I think placing judgement on someone you do not know is worse.
All in all, I bet the pilgrimage thing has a lot to do with it, and I bet money isn’t even a factor. I’m sorry, but how can you even suggest that…

@Beatlebug In the early days, even before Stu left the band, Paul would sometimes play bass, most notably in December 1960, between the departure of Chas Newby and the return of Stu. He used his Rosetti guitar, which I’ve heard was a pretty bad guitar to begin with, and fitted it with three piano strings, which he ‘borrowed’ from someone’s upright. Possibly one of the venues they played, but I don’t recall ever reading exactly where he got them. I did read a slightly more detailed account recently, in which I seem to remember Paul being a bit more specific about it, but I am terrible at remembering where I read things.
Anyway… I think I read somewhere that after their return to Hamburg, he dropped it/knocked it into something, and it broke. The other Beatles then had a good time reducing it to tinder, which cheesed him off a bit, but I think he knew the thing couldn’t be saved anyway. As a result, though, he was stuck playing the piano. That is, until Stu left the band and he got relegated to bass. The rest, as they say, is history.
Paul and his 3-stringed ‘bass’:
Please keep in mind that I may remember things incorrectly. If I made a mistake, please, someone correct me.

Easily. It is not on his priority list. He controls the pursestrings. She was not HIS mother.

Care to explain the completely different facial features between 1966 and Sgt Pepper album forward? Brown eyes to green (watch Hey Jude on Ed Sullivan show 1968 or Fool on the Hill clip). Round face to long. Different nose. Two inches taller.
People have forgotten how Paul looked before 1966. Or they just don’t see it. Take a look. Make up your own mind.

I’m not going to go into an in-depth argument about this, because you know very well Paul didn’t die. His nose didn’t change, nor did the length of his face or his height. But, I will share one of my favourite photos of Paul with you. It’s from (late) 1964 or somewhere in 1965 and it shows his hazel eyes very well. Pay particular attention to the outer rim of the irises, which in this picture is…. green. Because that’s what hazel eyes do: they can look brown, green, or both. And Paul himself has said his eyes are hazel, not brown.

Please don’t. This isn’t the place for stupid conspiracy theories. Just drop it. Any Paul Is Dead messages outside of the threads that @Ahhh Girl directed you towards are likely to be deleted.
