An appreciation thread for Mike, as well as his group The Scaffold! Here is one of their popular songs, Thank U Very Much
Also, I quite like the song So Much from the McGough and McGear album (on which Paul himself contributed some parts, as well as some other famous names such as Jimi Hendrix, Graham Nash, Gary Leeds, Dave Mason and John Bonham.) Hendrix plays on this song.

I’m a big fan of Mike’s work. His photography, to me anyway, is great. I love how he tries to find unusual angles, and how there are often little surprises hidden in his work. But yeah, his music is nice, too. Not a fan of everything he’s put out there, but he really has some great songs. Though his voice is much higher than Paul’s (though funnily enough, his preferred singing range is lower) he sounds eerily like Paul at times. When they harmonise, you can clearly hear they have the same character to their voices. This is my favourite Mike/Paul song (the really high harmony is sung by Graham Nash):

It’s a really simple song, especially compared to the Scaffold version which has different verses. But, this one has Paul on piano and singing close harmony with Mike. Another one I like, because it’s a stupid but very funny song is Living Room. Paul and Mike’s antics at the beginning (and him messing up halfway through the song) always crack me up. Jane Asher and her mum are singing backup in this as well:

Mike’s best songs don’t include ‘our kid’, though. Yellow Book is a nice, poetic ditty, and there are so many others I like.

I have his book which is very funny about growing up with ‘our kid’. I loved Lily The Pink when I was a kid, it’s a terrific singalong.

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

As Ron Nasty and mmm mentioned in the ‘Upcoming TV and radio’ thread, here’s this month’s BBC Witness episode, which features Mike talking about The Beatles performance on Our World:
