Haha, no, he’s now dissed two people – Taylor Swift and Beck – on Beyonce’s behalf when she’s lost an award (the Taylor Swift incident is the infamous “Imma let you finish…” speech). It’s too much. As Shirley Manson put it, she doesn’t need him fighting her battles.

I was right i didnt care. But thanks for taking the time to post and make that clear. It would have been bugging me otherwise.

@parlance Does that make this one the infamous “…” speech? a-hard-days-night-george-10

And just to make it clearer for you @meanmistermustard (although I’m sure you care less than I do) this was also about Beyoncé. He apparently went back stage to complain about how some video of Beyonce’s was amazing art and artists deserve to make art and be respected for art artists artfully articulate. Something like that.

And Beck is not Beyoncé.

Hence my theory that he has a crush on Beyoncé and why I think he expresses it in this manner is due to what parlance said on the last page.

Fascinating. So Beyonce is married to Jay Z who is mates with Kanye who likes (in a more than friends way) Beyonce who lost an award to Beck (who sang Loser and is not to be confused with Jeff Beck who sang something else) and so did some stunt which was also a pastiche on something Kanye did to Taylor Swift who is pissed at Katy Perry who appeared on a tv show with Paul McCartney who performed with Jay Z who is married to Beyonce.

And yet somehow this is still boring me senseless and i dont care. Maybe its me who is the problem.

I wonder what Paul now thinks of his decision to work with Kanye after watching him so publicly disrespect another artist for the second time.

Interesting that Paul made a point of being photographed with Beck after Kanye had so publicly insulted his win:

Great article on Variety. Kanye should be banned from all award ceremonies if he can’t learn not to be such a dick!

From the article:

Would West think it funny had Beck walked onstage while he was performing earlier in the show and held his nose or gave a thumbs down? Lord knows that the next time West wins an award he’s just begging for a little karma. Maybe his fellow artists should run onstage before he gets there and link arms to blockade his path to the microphone.

That would be fun to see!

Wasn’t anybody else saddened by the way Paul was treated in that Rihanna/Kanye/Paul performance?  He was basically shunted off in the background playing his guitar as an accompanist.  I thought Paul shouldn’t even have participated. He is the last one who needs any reflected glory from Kanye or Rihanna. I also, however, was reminded of the way John appeared on the first Sullivan performance.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

No, not at all. He wasn’t shunted; he chose that position and he looked like he was having a great time.

Playing the guitar and not being as upfront as Rihanna or Kanye is also how Paul appears in the video. He probably enjoys not being the focal of attention for once.

The one instrument Paul’s not good on is ‘second fiddle’

I agree he seemed happy enough to strum along, must be a reason?

Anyway……….. Maybe his next ‘collaboration’ will be with West and Jay Z……Strumming along while they sing, ‘The Girl is Mine’

Then he should go East…….. Nathan East……. a genuine musician who’s more concerned with playing than scratching his willy!

I don’t think there’s a general Grammy’s thread but I’m really excited to watch them this year. There might be actual music and actual singers. The only thing that could make them better is Paul or Ringo showing up.

Great tribute to David Bowie. A lot of good music in general; it has taken the deaths of many to bring it back. I also liked Adele, Meek Mill, and some of the emerging artists. I had no idea Ben King died (I probably wouldn’t know who he was if it wasn’t for the song). It’s very sad because John covered Stand By Me so beautifully.

So apparently, Sir Paul was DENIED entrance to Tyga’s Grammys afterparty at Argyle night club. I love Paul though… “How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit.” After another failed attempt for entry at Argyle, Paul, Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins headed for Hyde, where they had absolutely no problems.

It’s be because he didn’t notch a solo top hit by himself.
