This can be solo or Beatles. Ob-La-Di, Kreen Akore, There’s A Place and Love Me Do . These are bad, just not great.

Aww…There's A Place is one of my favorites! I also thought it was 50/50 John and Paul. Oddly enough, I like all of your choices. I'd say my least favorite Paul songs would have to be Nod Your Head, Freedom, and Birthday . I can't listen to Birthday all the way through…probably because I have heard it so much on just about every morning radio talk show I have listened to! I just don't like it.

I am really not a fan of Birthday either.  I can listen to it, but its just kinda…ugh.  I also am not a fan of “Man We Was Lonely.”

But seriously, I thought There's a Place was John's? And I can't say anything about Kreen Akore, since I haven't heard it.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Average Person off Pipes Of Peace . I love this song and it makes me real happy when I listen to it, but it's not all that great, and I wouldn't think many people would think so either. Also, Gratitude from Memory Almost Full !

ONE MINUTE YOU'RE DEFENDING THE WHOLE GALAXY, AND SUDDENLY, YOU FIND YOURSELF SUCKING DOWN DARJEELING WITH MARIE ANTOINETTE AND HER LITTLE SISTER.!

No More Lonely Nights and Tell Me What You See , but that’s about it.

Do you dislike both versions of No More Lonely Nights?

There's a place is one of the best songs on the album, imo. But tastes are different, I guess…

I don't quite like

Gratitude (one of the very few I really DISLIKE!)

Move over busker

Don't be careless love

You want her too

Soily

Most of Pipes Of Peace (except for the title track and Say, say, say, both well produced, in contrast to the other Tug Of War leftovers)

Most of Give My Regards To Broad Street (except for NOLN, which is fantastic, imo, and So bad, which it isn't)

Junior's farm

Let Me Roll It

Off The Ground (I know, many like that…)

Young boy (I don't know, something is wrong with the sound, and the chords are too much like Hope of deliverance, see also Too much rain and How kind of you!)

Really love you

Spinning on an Axxis

Freedom

Bogey music

I owe it all to you (unbeaaaaaarable)

Peace in the neighbourhood

The lovers that never were

Beatles:

You won't see me

Tell Me What You See

Oh darling (sorry, I thought it was awesome as well in the beginning, but it really annoys me today)

Wow! It surprises me that you don't like Junior's Farm, Let Me Roll It , and Soily.

Soily – doesn't give me anything but a headache

Let Me Roll It – it's not bad, just a bit too long and repetitive, and he plays it live too often. Why?! Cause he wants people to know he can write a mean riff like Lennon did on Cold turkey??

Okay, I've held my piece long enough. While Soily is terrible, Let Me Roll It is rightly held as one of his best. But, as you say, tastes are different, I guess…

Junior's farm – Booooring, generic

Soily – doesn't give me anything but a headache

Haha…I didn't like Soily at first, either, but it kind of grew on me. Same with Junior's Farm. I don't really care if it's generic. I just like  the way it sounds. Let Me Roll It has kind of a special place in my Macca heart because it was the first solo song by him I really liked. I saw a clip of him performing it on David Letterman, which in turn, caused me to buy Band On The Run …which caused me to buy Ram , McCartney, Venus And Mars , London Town , Tug Of War , Back To The Egg , Electric Arguments, Memory Almost Full , Off The Ground , Flowers In The Dirt …and well, you know, ALMOST the rest of his entire catalog. I have three different versions of it on my playlist, and I never skip a single one.

I can't stand Gratitude. There's just something about it… also Vintage Clothes. To be honest it's the whole Memory Almost Full album that bothers me. Except Dance Tonight, I still love that song. Pretty much all his other stuff is brilliant.heart

Every time I listen to C Moon I wonder why I'm listening to it, and hope no one walks into my room and catches me.

I have to side with you on this. I've tried to like this album, but it is just not to my liking.

It's probably just a case of being spoiled by so much of his other stuff.

Now, MAF was one of the first I got, and I loved it. But Gratitude is terrible.

To tell you the truth, I don't know Paul's music all that much. I know Band On The Run and Tug Of War , and some other songs, but…that's kind of it. I'm not a big fan of instrumentals, and if McCartney has instrumentals, I might not like it all that much. that's the main reason why I dont like it. I like “Ever Present Past” from Memory Almost Full , but I don't know the whole album all that much. I like most of Tug Of War , except for “Ebony And Ivory ” and “Dress Me Up As A Robber”.

Memory Almost Full is an anagram of “for my soul mate LLM” (the initials of Linda L. McCartney). I didn't know that, but I thought I'd like to share.

You're welcome. It's such a shame that it was thirteen years ago yesterday, though. I liked Linda.

Reading the thread, I feel like an Macca fan here. And I'm not.

Anyway: i don't like Helter Skelter (but I like the U2 cover), Honey Pie , Maxwell Silver Hammer. If I remember another songs, I'll post later.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.
