On June 28th it will be released an album to celebrate Buddy Hollys 75th anniversary including Paul's version of “It's so easy”. Also participate Julian Casablancas, Fiona Apple, Tom Reed, among others.
Here's Paul singing It's so easy in a concert in Texas 2009.
(FYI Paul has the rights to Buddy's songs)
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.
Beware of Darkness…

I heard about this album. The Black Keys did a really well done version of Buddy's song “Dearest”. I really want to hear Lou Reed's version of “Peggy Sue”.
I didn't know Paul McCartney owned his songs either.
Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Buddy was one of the greats! But “tribute” albums annoy me.

I found this on YT this morning. John sings Buddy.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

John sang Peggy Sue on his Rock ‘N’ Roll album, but Paul didn’t cover any Buddy on Run Devil Run (His RNR). Interesting.
