Offline Adding to the weirdness of Paul uttering “i feel destroyed, i feel a mole, oh” in the DJ Mole Mix of ‘No More Lonely Nights’ here’s Paul singing the immortal line “I am a cornish pasty“. Unless this is slang for something else a cornish pasty, for those who dont know, is “a pasty containing seasoned meat and vegetables, especially potato” – (definition from google).
The song itself (‘Sea/Cornish Wafer/Storm’) is from the unreleased ‘Rupert’ cartoon and is very catchy.

Offline Anyone interested in Paul’s catalogue should nip over to Octaner’s blog and start to download Voo-Doo’s ‘Ultimate Archive Collection’. The sound quality is excellent and the releases are so comprehensive its damn right awesome. Easily beats what Paul is putting out himself – and you wont have the worry of will you get the next release in the series before you die aged 109 (unless you are 109 already or 108 and you’re birthday is within a week or so).

Offline A booter identified as MisterClaudel has been producing CDs containing the outtakes from most of the Beatle’s solo albums. These are links to the tracks on a site named Internet Archive, that is a little tidier than YouTube and makes it easy to compare the different versions of the songs. The album covers with track info, inserts, and CD reproductions are usually available in the JPEG section under Download Options. I can’t find much information about the producer and I’m not sure why they are allowed to operate in the open. They claim the CDs contain “Everything that happened in the studio” (a bit of hyperbole me thinks).

Offline I never knew Oobu Joobu existed until 15 minutes ago. From the first 2 minutes, I can tell Paul here has connected with his inner groove (which includes the license to color outside lines), rather than, as he has been wont to do from the 80s on, flailing around “trying” to record passable songs.

Same with her Queen cover of WWRY & Champions. Yeah, they’re well-known, iconic songs and her voice sounds great, but there were plenty of more suitable ones for a more unique/tailored set.
