In Liverpool
Not much is known about this charming little track from Paul, about his early Liverpool memories. A recording of it never saw an official release, though one source I have on hand, has it published as early as 1973. The recording itself is likely from sometime between 1988 and 1992 and the lyrics appeared in Paul’s 2001 volume of poems and
lyrics titled Blackbird Singing.

I believe I've heard it a couple of times but forgotten about it.
Wiki Says :
“Yvonne's the One” (Written by Eric Stewart and Paul McCartney , and first attempted in February 1985 during the sessions for Paul's Press to Play album, but remade and completed on this album, with Paul returning the favour by playing rhythm guitar)
But perhaps you already knew that?
Edit: The album they’re talking about is Mirror Mirror by 10cc

Along with “Waterspout,” it's one of the unreleased tracks by Paul that most of his fans love the most. More people should really check out B-sides and unreleased McCartney tracks. Some of my favorites are Momma's Little Girl, Tragedy, Oh Woman Oh Why?, A Love for You…oh hell, I can't remember them all. Soily…listen to Soily. Just don't pay attention to the lyrics (Soily, soily, the cat in satin trousers said it's oily. WTF, Paul?). The vocals, however, are AMAZING, like Beware My Love or Helter Skelter .

Thanks for that video. Not heard that song before and its good. Other fantastic Paul b-sides that are buried deep in his catalogue are Love Come Tumbling Down and Same Love which were eventually released within the singles taken from the Flaming Pie album. There is actually a great bootleg called Return To Pepperland which has a number of really strong songs that were never released. Supposedly it was an album Paul compiled but abandoned. And yet he released Press To Play – go figure!

Okay…I’m thinking about doing this as a regular thread that I’ll update like every week or so of some of what I feel are Paul’s best bootlegs, b-sides, and movie or collaboration songs. If you guys get tired of the thread, just tell me, and I will stop. The thread the other day on Yvonne gave me the idea. Feel free to post anything you come across if you want.
1. Mama’s Little Girl
2. Oh Woman Oh Why?
3. Tragedy (cover)
4. A Love for You
5. My Soul (written by Nitin Sawhney with a little input from Paul, I think…Nitin said it was about Paul’s feelings on Heather, but I’m not so sure.)
Crap…I'm not sure how to just embed the links. Help ?

Well, they embedded fine. Just paste the link and it’ll embed.
As for the topic at hand, I like it! It gives me a chance to get some more Paul, because there are gems in his work. Kedame, there’s a b-side called something to the tune of “The Loveliest Thing”, from I believe about 1989. Could you post it?

Thanks, SunKing! Sure, I know that one. It's definitely an earworm, but it's a nice little tune. I figured most people on here know at least a good bit of Paul's studio releases but probably not about unreleased tracks. This stuff circulates like mad amongst McCartney fans, and none of my fb friends appreciates any of the stuff I post. So here they shall be.

Great idea for a thread. Paul has so many fantastic tracks that are either forgotten b-sides, unreleased or collaborations, easilly enough for a triple cd set.
(The b-side to the wrongly and criminally slated We All Stand Together.)
(Recorded in 1988. Issued on Beautiful Night cd single in 1997.)
(Recorded in 1987. Issued on Beautiful Night cd single in 1997.)
One song i cant find online is the original fabulous version of Beautiful Night that was included within part 5 of Oobu Joobu on the Beautiful Night cd single #1. Paul rerecorded it for Flaming Pie .

Thanks, mith and meanmistermustard. I have a couple of the Oobu Joobu cds. I'll check later and see if that version of Beautiful Night is on there. One reason you may not be able to find it is because a couple of the cds are only one track long, with every single song on the same track number. There is no way to skip songs or upload them individually.

Yeah on the cd singles from flaming pie you had to scan thru each oobu joobu to get the extra complete track, I cut them up.
So Bad was not only a track on the Pipes Of Peace album but the b-side of the Pipes Of Peace single. Some very nice individual created a stripped mix which far outshines that version.

If its going to be opened up, all in favour of that, it should also reach forth to George and Ringo. Therefore below is perhaps one of the best George songs so far unreleased – Nowhere To Go, demoed at the beginning of the ATMP sessions (tho to be fair every single demo from then could be included here. If you havent heard them all they are all on youtube and you really should check them out.).
(P.S. Erm does Ringo have any demos that can even be included?)

kedame – I love this thread. Since I am on the computer all day long at the office, it's the last thing in the world I want to be doing when I get home. I just can't sit here all night looking for videos. Now, you are giving me an easy option of just coming to this thread for the really cool not-so-mainstream stuff.
Thanks to everyone else for sharing as well.
Fabulous!

A far better take of Jealous Guy than the one on Anthology
I Lie Around, the B-side of Live And Let Die .
The brilliant Deep Blue, written during the time George's mum was in hospital with terminal cancer, a really cheerful tune with very depressed lyrics.
The equally brilliant Miss O'Dell which was the b-side of Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) (an alternate, not as good, non-laughter take can be heard here – the commercial version is far better. There is a very strong arguement to say that in the early 70's George was producing the better material of the ex-beatles).
