No sir, he got his Rickenbacker later in 1965, between “Help !” and “Rubber Soul ” (I think he got it either during or right after their U.S. tour). Additionally, I believe this is from the final version – there'’s slight bleed-through from the vocals, and it sounds just like the album track.
Incidentally, this was the first song I learned how to play on the bass (Without just playing the root notes along with the guitar), so you could say that I have more interest in it than most.

I think its from the Loveology bootleg which is the extracted channels from the 5.1 surround sound DVD. I havent heard it but its similar to the 5.1 extracts from the Yellow Submarine dvd.
