Hi, everyone! This is the reason I’ve been away for the past few days – finishing my very first music video. Basically, I was plugging the song to a friend of mine, and she suggested I shoot my own video as a tribute. So here it is! Directed and edited, just in time for the holidays.

As we all know, parlance’s fantastic video was linked to by Paul’s FB page on 10 December.
We all jumped up and down and woo-hooed for her amazing achievement.
Unfortunately, because of site problems, she has lost all of our reactions. So, I would ask anybody who felt moved to post on her massive achievement, please post a new comment here so that it isn’t forgotten.
Of interest, The Macca Report has published a fantastic interview with parlance about the video.
I apologise if my links aren’t quite right, never linked in this way before!

A recap, for the sake of posterity… My video for Paul’s track “Appreciate” got featured on his Facebook, Twitter and Google + sites on Tuesday the 10th. And the Macca Report did a great write-up on it (it’s a different angle from the previously reported The Examiner article).

Hey, everyone, so I got some rest, and I wanted to respond to news thread posts. Sorry for the delay. First of all, thanks again for all your congrats and support. If I had seemed less than ecstatic, know that that is FAR from the case! mja had it right when he said I was in a state of shock. Plus I was dealing with finals, work and a new kitten who won’t allow me the few hours of sleep I’ve been trying to catch up on since I finished editing the video.
And ecstatic doesn’t even begin to cover it. If I could have told my 8-year-old Beatle fan self that I’d one day make a video that Paul McCartney himself would like, I’d have passed out. My friends thought it would get this far, but I never would have expected that. As you know, I was so happy to reach 1000 views. And thanks to Paul, it looks like it’ll reach 5000 by the end of this week!
To answer mja’s question, I did get a heads up about the link happening (I can’t get into how, sorry). So, all day I was refreshing my FB page on my phone. During the afternoon, I gained a strange craving for hot chocolate, and I took a break from work to walk to the grocery store.
As I was waiting for a red light, I started singing “Appreciate” to myself (as I do, I’m always singing something), while I was refreshing my phone. And I sung, “When you’re left for dead in the middle of a crisis, you must appreciate the daAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! THEY LINKED TO IT!!!!” Luckily no one was standing next the crazy woman sing-screaming on the sidewalk.
It was hot chocolate with marshmallows for the whole office! 
As we enjoyed our drinks, someone asked me how I felt. And my response was, “Ummmm, dksjalkjlajdgl *giddy* sakljdaslksdflk heeheeheehee.” Another coworker won’t let me live that down.
So, yes, ecstatic, thrilled, shocked, giddy, to say the least.
It’s really interesting mja noticed the [MPL] because I thought that was just their way of differentiating Paul’s posts from his people’s posts. That was just a guess, I don’t know how it works. But it certainly makes it look way official!
