When the album is released, we should edit the topic title to the actual album name, but it appears Paul is working on a new album.

I can’t believe that Paul choose Adele’s producer to produce his new album. If i were Paul i’d produce it myself like he did with McCartney but if he wants a good record producer, why not try a rock producer like Giles Martin or Rick Rubin, why Adele’s producer.

Greg Kurstin only produced three tracks on Adele’s 25 album, so I think it’s a little unfair to describe him as Adele’s producer.
He has worked with many different artists; is one of the most successful producers around at the moment; he also has a successful career as a musician and songwriter, being a member of The Bird and The Bee.
It’s also not known if Kurstin will produce the whole album, nor when to expect it (New, released in October 2013, Paul started working on in January 2012, and involved four different producers).
Given this news is old news, and was discussed elsewhere on the forum at the time, Giles was busy with Sgt. Pepper .
He’s produced the upcoming new Foo Fighters album, from which this is the first single:

I’m going to guess that it’s against Trump because Paul seems to support Clinton.

Maybe Paul liked the way he produced Adele’s tracks and thought he could add something to his new songs?

Ugh. I’m sick of people simply settling for the Democratic nominee (who in this case was already-predetermined before the election even started, BTW — not very democratic-sounding ) merely because they’re more ‘with it’ on social issues; never mind both parties are now basically of the same mind on economic issues and foreign policy and in bed with Wall Street. But that’s not a discussion for this forum…
The sooner we get a release date confirmation on this album – or ANY further news – the better.

Granted, he’s been averaging a new album every 4 years since Flowers In The Dirt (that one in ’89; Off The Ground in ’93; Flaming Pie in ’97; Driving Rain in ’01; Chaos And Creation In The Backyard in ’05; Memory Almost Full in ’07 [2 years ahead of schedule there]; and New in ’13… and that doesn’t include the mostly-covers Run Devil Run and Kisses On The Bottom also released over this time), so, yeah, he’s due for another one now.

Further, there are plenty of reasons why he wouldn’t want Rick Rubin. Maybe he doesn’t want the living s**t compressed out of his new album.

wThat’s my biggest gripe of most modern songs, the amount of compression. Paul shouldn’t lower himself to that standard.
