Yoko and Sean performing on David Letterman on October 2nd. Seems like deja vu from 1969 with Yoko doing her thing.

The further one travels, the less one knows

I was going to stay up and watch it, but I was tired out of my mind that night. Now…I’m glad I missed it. I like Yoko…just not her music. Its like 1969 meets Tim Burton-y looking characters….a-hard-days-night-paul-4I love Tim Burton characters btw.

I wish to portray my shallow views as a teenage girl for a moment:

In the (slightly altered) words of Kevin McCallister “Sean your hair….woof”. Only Dhani can rock the long hair a-hard-days-night-paul-7

And music wise:

ahdn_paul_01Yeah…just…yeah a-hard-days-night-paul-3

That…wasn’t very good. Best thing I can say about is Yoko’s voice (and body!) is in pretty good shape for an 80-year old woman. But the song’s terrible, the Flaming Lips sounded like they were playing some lame attempt at sub-Lenny Kravitz electro-funk, and I really don’t wish to see an octogenarian lady (even one in great physical shape) shaking her butt like that.

Thanks for posting that, Inner Light! I had no idea there was a new Plastic Ono record out. (I might download it, but I surely won’t buy it. Even if my crappy neighbourhood record store stocked it, which I bet they won’t. Man I hate 2013 record stores.)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

This comment at YT says it all:

Ever wonder what a Beetle fighting a cockroach and a worm being eaten by a dying sea-gull sound like ? Well you just heard it :)

The opener had a cute Yoko-breaking-up-the-band joke.

I’ll be the first to say that I dug it. Thought the band sounded great, very funky. I liked Wayne on the floor doing his thang. I’m not usually a big fan of Yoko’s voice, but it kinda worked for me here.
