God , John was awesome. And sassy as hell. (Like i didn’t already know that!)

I read the article: since when has blowjob been considered a swear word?

"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that."

"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.

"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

Ugh. That's like S$20 000 in my currency. That high amount for a decaying tooth? Uhm, I'm not too sure if I want it…

Found this thread so lets post it here (it may have been posted previously in the news thread).

A BBC video report from March 2014 on the June auction (happening today) of John’s poem’s, writings and and drawings.

A bullet fired from the gun that was used to shoot John is going up for auction.

https://www.bbc.com/news/artic…..7pyen5qo

From the article

A bullet fired from the gun that killed John Lennon is going under the hammer in the North East next week.

The “macabre” artefact was gifted by the New York Police Department to Northumbria Police officer Brian Taylor.

During a visit to the NYPD, officers let him shoot the gun Mark Chapman used to murder the Beatle and he kept the bullet for the rest of his life.

The late officer’s family are now auctioning the pellet via Newcastle auctioneers Anderson & Garland.

I wonder what MDC thinks of this. Never mind. I don’t want to know what he thinks. That %^$#head.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone involved in this — from the auctioneer to the auction folks to the sellers to the buyers — is reprehensible.

Totally agree, @Sea Belt.

That bullet should be dropped in the middle of an erupting volcano.

The NYPD officer and Brian Taylor should have gotten in BIG trouble back then.

That’s the most irresponsible and stupid thing I’ve ever seen…why not give him the gun straight away? “you wanna keep the gun? it’s been here for a while and we don’t need it at all, we have plenty of them already!!” ahdn_paul_01

Anyways i don’t quite understand the situation. I always understood that five shots had been fired that night and that gun only holds five bullets so.. where does that bullet come from?

I guess they put another bullet in it to let Brian Taylor shoot it.

I think auctioning off, and buying at an auction, a bullet that wasn’t even part of the tragedy but was merely put into the chamber of the gun and fired, is even worse than auctioning off, and buying at an auction, one of the actual bullets.  Congratulations to those involved for sinking to a new low.

This is sickening and goes to show how rules aren’t followed behind the scenes. I remember reading long ago a rumour that photos were taken of people beside John’s body in the morgue and they moved his jaw while they sang “yeah yeah yeah”. Unfortunately I’m inclined to believe that. To think such photos exist and someone still has them to this day.
