P.S. And also, he was shot with hollow point bullets, which have the sole intention of ripping apart its victim’s insides… so he really stood no chance.
I didn’t know that, @Lennonista ; it’s shocking.

Talking of letters from John to Paul and Linda here is one from 1971 where you see John’s letter as sent along with a transcript of it. If you don’t like reading swear words or you’re not old enough to do so without your parents consent best not click on the link.

“War Is Over! If You Want It Happy Christmas from John & Yoko” was a billboard campaign in December 1971, partly as part of their ongoing peace campaign, and partly to promote the Happy Xmas (War Is Over) single.
The billboards appeared in twelve cities around the world.
I recall it being December 1969.
Oddly enough, in the book Lennon, Ray Coleman says it was 11 cities. I’m sure it was 12. Is this another example of conlicting info that varies from source to source? Seems to be a lot of that amongst Beatles “experts”.
BTW, RN – great pics. Where did you find the second one? It is not of the original 1969 poster. Perry Ellis (billboard above the poster) wasn’t well known until 1978 at the earliest. The logos for the New York Jets and Giants underneath the poster are more recent. If the pic ws taken in NYC in 1989 for some type of 20 year revival, that would make sense. I believe both sports teams were using those logos around that time. I could be wrong.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I have no sources, but he never looked like somebody who went to the gym… I may be wrong though…

Correct me if I’m wrong… did he intentionally tune one of the strings of his guitar down a half step? Isn’t it “tuning out-of-tune” (it’s like an oxymoron, right? A contradiction in terminis) Didn’t it sound… bad?
