I think there is also some “self portrait” artwork in his art books where he drew several faces like that in rows.

Anyone notice the resemblance between Strawberry Field and the Dakota? (I am assuming that is a correct pic of the original Strawberry Field building).

I assume he did because he chose to live there. Also, across the street from the Dakota is the Strawberry Fields memorial.

Hi everyone! I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this question and it may seem irrelevant but I am wondering who the person is next to John Lennon in this picture:

. Any idea?

Hello, it is a former czech president Václav Havel…

Hello, I really don´t know, if the painting is there… I live far away from Prague ( and I am grateful for it :), and I never visited The Wall… I should do it probably 🙂 … But it looks like it is there… Both- Lennnon and Havel – have on the picture pin-badges with letters- OF- which means Civil Forum- that was the first political movement which had been created during The Velvet Revolution in 1989… I hope you will enjoy your trip to Prague, it is a wandrefull place.. as the whole Czech Republic is.. And I apologize for my bad English, I do not have to much oportunities to use it.. and I am also quite lazy 🙂

Is this the same cat? If so, it’s not John’s–it belonged to Mimi. Not sure of the name.

The pic SG posted is one from 1965 (note the suede jacket). So, did John visit Mimi in 1965? And would that cat still be alive?

The cat might just be a friend’s.

Random cat.

Titled “John and the Cat”, the photograph was taken backstage at Shea Stadium on 15 August 1965 by Robert Whitaker. Though he’s unsure of the location in this quote, he certainly remembers the photograph:

We were in America – Houston or Minneapolis or Portland – when the cat licked John’s nose, and he started stroking it. Very much him. I never saw John as a hard b*****d at all. Never saw him bite, or be disrespectful. I miss him a great deal.

I have a question. I haven’t actually bothered to read who the personnel are on John Lennon sessions. If there is a lead guitar solo on a John solo song, is he always the one playing it?

I know George Harrison played on a few songs.

If he plays guitar on a Yoko record, does he always play the lead guitar?

Depends on the album. For example, George plays lead guitar on Imagine whereas John played all guitar on John Lennon /Plastic Ono Band.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Wow, no lead from John on Double Fantasy or Mind Games . I never knew that. They aren’t really lead-heavy albums, but I always just assumed it was John.

Why John and Yoko got married in Gibraltar? Wouldn’t it have been possible in London, for instance?
