I have it dated as recorded May or June 1973 in the Dakota; am sure I got the details from ‘The Art & Music Of John Lennon ‘ but don’t have the book on me.
Booted and available on the below.

John phoned Mimi most weeks. They last spoke for around an hour the day before his death.

I read an interview where she said something like Sean’s music is good while Julian needs to get his act together
In an interview with Julian, he said that he wasn’t quite close to Mimi and that he doesn’t remember her all that much, but in that interview he can’t seem to remember much of anything at all, really.

Yes, John and Paul did talk on the phone until John’s death ended those calls. A recent interview by John’s record producer claims they were seeing each other as well, and were going to work together [on Ringo’s album].

The Cyrkle: Legend says John Lennon suggested the spelling for the group’s name. I’ve always tended to believe that because John was rather creative, you know. The Cyrkle had two mid-60s hits — “Red Rubber Ball” and “Turn Down Day” — and then were never heard from again.
Does anyone have any more information on whether John suggested that spelling?

Ooops, I didn’t do a good job explaining. The author was saying that John suggested the spelling “Cyrkle” for circle.

John always expressed his admiration for nonsense, limericks, and that kind of play on words. Remember he wrote In His Own Write, full of jokes and puns (I haven’t read A Spaniard in the Works)
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

It’s largely similar to In His Own Write, but better. At least, in my opinion. It was actually written for publication instead of being collected titbits written in John’s spare time for his amusement.

Does anyone know the background to a painting Lennon owned at Kenwood called “Psychedelic Eye”? I’d never heard of it but it has turned up. Where I hear you ask? … in my home town. It’s a small world. Did Lennon create it? http://www.watfordobserver.co……n_display/

It is not, in fact, a painting, @Leppo, but a mosaic. Designed by John in around 1966/7, it was created for his swimming pool.
Measuring 16ftx6ft, it weighs over two tons and is made up of over 17,000 mosaic pieces. It was installed by Antonio Ritrovato.
Here it is in situ in 1967:
