I know this is not a question or anything, more like an opinion, so didn’t know where else to post this – but I was watching some interview of his recently, and was wondering whether it’s just me or does anybody else agree that his skin was absolutely beautiful? 😀
P.S. I wish there was a John club here like we have one for George

I suppose his skin was quite clear, now that you mention it.
As for the John club thing, feel free to start one yourself in the John section. I’ll be anxious to see what clever name you come up with for it. It will have to be “Johnworthy”. No pressure, right?
Have fun.

It was pretty stupid anyway.. Friends were talking about celebrities with good skin, so Lady Diana came up, and while they were ooh-ing and ahh-ing, being the Beatle fan that I am, I chipped in with John Lennon had amazing skin! They looked at me as if I sprouted 5 extra limbs or something

I don’t know if this has been discussed before, but can anyone hear Imagine in this?

Wow – I’ve heard this a few times but did not hear the “Imagine -like” melody until now. Nice catch.
Love his Scouse accent, BTW.

I thought I had imagined (no pun intended) it, but then looked at the comments below. Quite many feel that way.
Yep, sounds so like John sometimes (or John sounds like him). Even Julian Lennon for that matter sounds so like John when he speaks, it’s eerie.

When did John give a speech that basically consisted of him saying “You have lovely faces” or something close to that in wording?

You’re welcome.
If you watch this video (the audio does not kick in for a while), John does say – as @Joe wrote in his article – “”Er, thank you all very much, and God bless you.” Then, as he sits back down, he turns to the gent on his left (our right) and says, “You have a lucky face”.
