John did a couple of the DJ stints when promoting ‘Walls And Bridges ‘. I’ve only heard the longer version of the LA show and John was an incredible DJ who you could tell was having the time of his life – he could easily have had a full-time job as one.

I did not see the point in starting a new thread just for these two videos of Alfred’s single (A & B sides). The songs are nothing special, but every once in a while you hear what John would have sounded like with a thicker Scouse accent.

Never knew about this never mind seen footage before. Taken on the 28th April 1974 when John and Harry Nilsson attended the March Of Dimes Walk-A-Thon in Central Park, New York. Always great seeing new footage of John.

Necko very rightly said
If I ever need proof of the whole idea that smart people can believe stupid things, here it is.
Yeah, who knows what really happened because he sounds so sure and he and May Pang both say they saw it. I still don’t believe it though.

Here’s a version of Whatever Gets You Thru The Night with just John singing:
I didn’t see this posted anywhere else, so I figured here was as good a place as any to put it.

Most associate John Lennon & Monday Night Football with the tragic announcement of his death in December 1980, but he did in fact appear on the show in 1974 while he was still with us…

Blast from the past with a heaping side of irony. What a wonderful series of Johnisms. Thank you, Billy R,
for a few minutes there, it was like he’s still with us, which I guess he always is.

Came across this video which is a splicing together of two separate clips, both of which I’d seen before, but I’d never made the connection that the homeless man who was sleeping in John’s garden looks very much to be the same person in the audience asking him a question on the Dick Cavett Show… The likeness and voice are strikingly similar:
Although there’s no evidence that the man ever caused much trouble for the couple, you gotta feel for them having to constantly deal with stalking in the lives… I mean, if this man is indeed the homeless man portrayed at John & Yoko’s home, then how the hell does he gain admission to a select studio audience for the Dick Cavett Show?! are the locations not on two different continents?!! Perhaps John & Yoko fixed him up with tickets (airline travel too?) after feeding him breakfast that morning but man… creepy or what? Yoko seems to be giving him an icy stare on the show…:-)
