On a related note, has anyone seen the Two Of Us film? It was directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg (Let It Be , Paperback Writer , Hey Jude ) and is supposed to be very good.
The carol singing incident did happen in December 1975, yes. The McCartneys were in NYC to visit Linda's family, and they spent a few hours at the Dakota that night (not sure of the precise date).

I have. I really enjoyed it. The actors don't look like Paul and John at all, but they're actors and they do a great job. At least it was better than other terrible biofilms out there.

There's a moment in an elevator when John gives a smack to Paul but you can't consider it a romantic kiss, so calling the movie slash because of that it's wrong. And trust me, I don't like slash.

Yeah, well, that's only what I've heard in this one review of the movie, but I might be wrong. I'll see if it's on Netflix, though.
It seems the friendship between John and Paul is a national treasure.

I’m sure they would have settled their differences before John passed. They’d been so close for a number of years, and I’m also pretty sure How Do You Sleep,John mocking the Ram cover etc, that was just macho bullshit. They loved each other, without doubt.
What I found sad was that Paul was made to look like a heartless prick, after his “it’s a drag” comment, when in reality,he was just probably in shock. Imagine losing one of your best friends and then having a camera shoved in your face when you’re trying to grieve. And anyway, didn’t he react in a similarly flippant way when told about the death of his mother?
We all deal with grief in different ways, and maybe that was just Paul’s way

I believe it is correct that is the last “known” day they were together. However, we also have the story by Carl Perkins of the song “My Old Friend,” where he says the last time John saw Paul, he said “Think of me every Now And Then , old friend.” I doubt Paul would have reacted the way he did had John said that 4 years before he was killed. We’ll probably never know.
Haven’t been on the site in awhile, but I’m here specifically looking for verification of the said quote. Someone posted it on Instagram the other day. I feel I’m pretty well versed in Beatles’ lore, but I’ve never heard that before. Anybody know if it’s true or just poetic license by Carl?
Yes, I'm livin' in hope
