If you think about it, this song is just an excerpt of “Two Minutes Of Silence” from Life With The Lions .

That probably shouldn’t have made me smile like it did, but it did.

What about all of the untitled songs that are proper songs, such as the 13th track on Queen’s 1995 Made In Heaven.
Sure, it’s just 22 minutes of synthesizer sounds and it’s no Bohemian Rhapsody, but it’s a song. You could say the song is called Yeah because of the 4 second song that proceeds it but those are 2 separate tracks, it’d be like calling Breathe and On The Run the same song. If you listened to this on CD, Yeah would be labeled as track 12 and would be labeled as track 13. You could say that it’s not a song because it lacks a title but that would be a terrible idea.

Put it on repeat when you need some zone-out time. Works wonders.

I’m not sure how often John performed live between 1973 and 1975 but he’d often play this song multiple times throughout the concert. An early version of it can be heard on the Esher Demos.

And the audience clapped in appreciation as loud as the song is.

Myself, for early demos of it, I prefer the three versions attempted by John, Paul, George and Stuart during the 1960 Forthlin Road recordings. You can hear John is still playing with the arrangement at that stage whereas he’s pretty much perfected it by May 1968.

Which is, of course, one of the main “Paul Is Dead” clues as some people claim that if you play it backwards there’s nothing there, meaning that Paul must be dead.

my preferred version is the extended one he plays with Elton John right after he is introduced at MSG in 74. I always thought Elton and John made a great team, and this performance is no exception. A lot of give and take from both, neither hogging the spotlight for themselves. John closes it with the I Feel Fine Riff.

^^^yes, I’ve heard that rumour too.
There’s also the debate of who was sitting at the piano. I’m firmly in the Klaus Voorman camp here – can’t see why others think it’s Phil Spector.
