Been addicted to this song more than usual lately. Truly one of John’s best songs. It sounds so nostalgic and the lyrics hit home like a Lennon greatest hits package. Talking about peace on Earth, love being the answer and having faith in the future.

Sometimes the lyrics get by me when I listen, honestly I feel the production for this song could have been a bit crisper, with more emphasis on the poetry.
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind
Yeah, we’re playing those mind games forever
Projecting our images in space and in time
Crazy set of lyrics often overlooked

I love how the song begins to fade out towards the end like a sun setting, with John keeping the messages of peace coming before it all ends. And the music video works perfectly with the song. John forever walking around Central Park on a glorious day, smiling, is a good way to remember him.

I first heard this song in Downtown Memphis on 98.1 ever since I fell in love with it. My favourite lyric has to be “Love is the answer and you know that for sure
Love is a flower you got to let it grow” It’s one of my favourite solo Lennon songs and it never fails to put me in the right mood.
