Such an amazing song….that bit where his voice cracks on ‘we can be’ is just beautiful. And the sound quality here is incredible.
The guy was just a genius, and for me ‘Plastic Ono Band’ is one of his finest achievements, including his work with the Beatles.

I love the emotionally tormented lyrics. With a different performer, I would hear them more positively, however John really makes you think about what he means, Love is feeling, Love is wanting, etc. The bible verse 1 Corinthians 13 is great too, I’m into the more abstract concepts of what love is, and coming from John’s perspective you know Love isn’t perfect.
