John Lennon joke form expected to sell for £15,000
Former Beatle John Lennon described his occupation as ‘hazardus’ in a joke form he filled in months before his death.
The singer made the prophetic entry on a Japanese landing card in 1980, the year he was shot dead in New York. The 40-year-old claimed his name was ‘blowjob’, his nationality ‘weird’ and his passport’s issuing authority was the ‘god of air’.
The form, owned by a private collector, is expected to fetch £15,000 when it is sold online today by London-based auctioneer, the Fame Bureau. ‘Whether it was filled out on a trip to Japan or whether it was a document he and Yoko had knocking around following a previous visit is unclear,’ said auctioneer James Wilkinson.
Life is what happens when your busy making other plans. John Lennon
