Double Fantasy Stripped Down
Wow- this CD is just utterly brilliant! That superb Lennon voice coming through with hardly any echo or reverb on the songs just gets those hairs standing up on the back of your neck.
You simply HAVE TO buy this folks – it’s like going back thirty years in time and listening to it new all over again. Stunning

Hey, nice to hear from you again.
My copy is dispatched from Amazon, will hopefully arrive tomorrow. In the meantime, I gather iTunes is giving away (Just Like) Starting Over from DF/SD today.
Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs
Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

It's as if you're there in the studio with him listening along. And dare I say this, even Yoko's songs (which are given the same treatment) sound good. In fact, her melodies are very tuneful; it's just her voice…. And she's done some nice things with Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him and Hard Times Are Over. Not going to say what, but let's just say John gets a bigger role on them both this time around!
Highlights for me are John's off mic messing about that you didn't quite catch on the originals and the fact you get to hear the songs in totally different ways although they are technically the same versions. It really is 'stripped' in places.
And Joe – I got an email from Amazon to say they'd reduced the price from £11.99 to £8.95. Anyway, how come I got mine earlier than yours if we both were ordered in advance?!

Thanks for the notice on the iTunes freebie! Snagged Watching The Wheels last night and I like it much better without the “Dexterization” (ha!) on it. Though it was a bit jarring to hear it without the background vocals, I really didn't miss 'em; it's so great to hear John's voice just sweet and pure rock 'n' rolly…..just got to figure out if I want the CD packaging or if just the iTunes version will satisfy me….the sample begs for more!
Got it, and the Signature Box.
Double Fantasy Stripped Down is wonderful. Well, the John songs are. The Yoko ones are still pretty bad (mainly because of her 'singing'). I recommend it.
I haven't explored the Signature Box properly yet, but it's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be. Also, even though it's not included, DF/SD does fit in there. I'll probably put all the CDs on the shelf, though, like I did with the Beatles remasters.

I've got Mind Games and Walls & Bridges remastered and am a tad disappointed. They are a little cleaner but not THAT much to my ears.

I like the Yoko ones (the only Yoko ones I do like).
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
