Imagine there’s no Twitter
It isn’t hard to do
No Myspace below us
Around us
only Facebook
Imagine there’s no Gmail
no Hotmail or Yahoo
No need to recall passwords
And no emails too
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll befriend me
and my friend list will increase by one
Imagine there’s no LinkedIn
I wonder if you can
No need to share your details
and freedom from da man
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I know you are one too
I hope someday you’ll create a profile
And the world will live in Facebook

What a horrible thought
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Welcome, @Boris!
Quality of life might be a lot better without those things. I don’t have much social media, so I’m biased. It’s almost impossible to imagine a world without it because of how heavily people rely on it for profit (it’s sickening to picture a group like the Beatles getting famous over YouTube), entertainment, and research.

I would definitely have to agree. I don’t have much social media either (the only thing I have is Instagram, but I have a Pintrest board that I never use, but anyways) and it leaves such a large impact in society these days, its hard to think about life with that stuff.
Society is strange, man

“Prior” is also there because the Beatles is actually overrated. It’s easier to just listen to the Beatles 24/7 station on TuneIn.
EDIT: I almost just had a heart attack. I meant to say Beatles streaming is overrated. There are no words. I’m simply mortified with myself.
Only music can save us.

Seriously? You realize this comes off as either “superior feeling teenager who thinks they’re better than everyone else for not using facebook” or “crotchety old man who doesn’t understand technology so he yells at kids who use it”.
Get over yourself.

I wish they weren’t streaming then they would be on YouTube.

Like seriously. I usually have my iTunes playing in the background, while I’m reading my (beatles) bible! Wether it’s on low volume coming out of the little computer speaker or I’ve got my beats headphones on and fully loving the Beatles in glorious stereo!
Life is good!

@IveJustSeenAFaceo I must say, I’m a teenager who has all the social media and has went along with what society has brought today, but I really do wish it wasn’t like this. I can’t imagine what it was like to grow up without a phone and without all the drama to come with it. I bet it was the right way to grow up though.
I wouldn’t consider myself to be the “superior teenager” you mentioned either, just one that recognizes how special it was for a group like the Beatles to have an uprising without all the YouTube and social media today.

Its very easy to not have your life dictated by facebook, social media or your mobile phone. I will admit I’m on here a lot but it doesnt hinder my daily happenings and its not as if i’m checking in every five minutes when at work.
And i dont get the whole friends thing. The reason I’m not on Facebook as that I had an account which I never used yet kept getting messages from folk i’ve never heard of asking me to be their friend. I have a cheap small mobile that I generally ignore and often have no idea where it is. Don’t want to be part of all that then don’t be. So you wont know what Brad Pitt thought 23 seconds ago or the latest breaking news as incorrectly reported – big whoop.

No. Social Media isn’t inherently bad. Some people are better of with it and others are better without it.
Using terms like right way do imply superiority. Like everything else, it should be used in moderation.

I’ve recently been catching up on more social media sites. Being young, there can be a lot of pressure on having it.
However, I tend to gather more online to sites like these that are informative to what I’m actually interested in but also enjoyable.
I’ve made the conclusion that the Internet is much more useful when you know who to associate with. If you’re associating with people who expand your knowledge–as well as have a positive impact–then it’s the cornerstone of the century. If you’re stuck looking at pictures of people their grandmothers wouldn’t want to be seeing, it can get to be a hassle.

Personally I love the connectivity and don’t think people realize just how much easier the internet makes things. To each his own, though.
