That is where the octopus is staying for the holiday.
No, that’s where the Latitude and Longitude numbers are.
Both can be together maybe they are BFFs with John and forum a golden trio of peaceful proportions!

I love his miming in the ‘Ticket To Ride ‘ promo*. Obviously stoned and cant keep up with being in sync.
*Best i can find online, John sounds like he’s been playing with a helium balloon.

I love all his miming videos. The “It Won’t Be Long ” video was on YT, and by the end he just gives up on the miming and starts goofing around, and Paul cracks up. He makes it so obvious they’re miming, at least the others try to pretend they are actually singing xD

I was listening to this some time back:
For those who may not know, Jude Kessler is the author of John Lennon series which is a series of 9 novels based on John’s life. She calls it narrative history, or some such thing. I ain’t a fan of such style of writing, but the girl does her research.
In this podcast, she discusses the Foyles’ speech (a part of her 4th book in the series which is in works now) where John says the famous line, “You’ve got a lucky face.” According to her research, in Liverpool lingo, it is something that people say when someone gives them “more than what they deserve”.
Interesting, isn’t it?

^ That makes sense. I can see why John used the line in the situation he was in when he said it.

What makes it funnier is how serious the other two are and it’s only Paul who knows what John is up to. Must be the keyboard.

Isn’t there another “We Can Work It Out ” video where they are wearing the Shea Stadium suits?… I remember watching that one, where John ,at the end of the song, does a crazy fingering in the harmonium with one of his funny faces and Paul really cracks up… but i can not find it in youtube or wherever…

Yeah they’re shown side by side in Anthology, it almost looks like they did the Shea suits first and then took them off because you can see they’re wearing turtlenecks underneath the nehru jackets.

Possibly serious. To me Ringo looks bored. Anyone else notice that?
Him and George both. Although sometimes it’s hard to tell with George. He looks bored or confused in Hello Goodbye half the time too. John is funny in that clip too!

On a serious note, George did say that it was one of their main faults, that John and Paul were too busy being J & P that they failed to realize who else was around them at the time.

On Tuesday morning, WMGK host John DeBella played a short clip from 1975 in which John Lennon made a guest appearance on an old Top 40 radio station in Philadelphia. Hear is a podcast of the show’s highlights – start it at 8:22 where DeBella sets up the clip. I hope you can play this no matter what country you are in. He has several funny lines – my favorites were, “I’d like to meet the two!” and the very last one – don’t want to give it away. Enjoy some typical John.
