She herself admits she has no maternal instincts in the Playboy interview.  She even admits that she is not a good mother, and John chastises her for saying it.  Also in that interview, Yoko says that people should be able to have babies and then turn them over to the community to be raised.  She just has very weird ideas.

That’s interesting…I can imagine Julia admitting likewise that SHE wasn’t a good mother either. And John verbally defending her, too.

Another Playboy quote, from the Dragon Lady herself: “I carried the baby nine months, now its your turn”, speaking to John about Sean. There’s a GOOD mother. And how did she lose Kyoko in the first place? I don’t remember. But it generally takes a LOT to lose custody to the father . Just sayin….two-virgins

Ah Vonbontee I’m just repeating her own words. Hate? That’s a harsh word, mate. Lets just say I am not Yoko’s number one fan….

Yeah, she calls herself “Dragon Lady” all the time, does she?

You’re the one who introduced her as “the Dragon Lady herself” in the opening sentence of your post – the racist subtext of which was my chief objection. If I misunderstood and that’s a direct quote of Sheff’s, I’m sorry for attributing it to you – but you should have made it clear that they were HIS words, not yours.

The Reader’s Digest version of Yoko’s losing Kyoko is that she was married to Tony Cox when John came into her life (more accurately, she finally got John to come into her life). Yoko’s interest in the world at the time was to raise money to fund her art. Tony stayed at home and cared for Kyoko and worked on orchestrating her shows. Once John and Yoko hooked up, she rather instantaneously began living with John. That left Tony with Kyoko…and finally, after Yoko made it clear that her future was with John (and I’m leaving out tons of details here), Tony first went to Houston (I believe), then disappeared with the church group. After John & Yoko married, John decided they would start the quest to find and retrieve Kyoko. So, she really didn’t “lose custody” of Kyoko, she really just removed herself from her presence. I am fairly sure Tony Cox was breaking the law by keeping Kyoko away from Yoko.

Yep, direct quote from Sheff, with tongue firmly in cheek, I’m sure (John voiced no objection), as is mine. Anyway you’ve completely bypassed the POINT- which isn’t her race, but her parenting skills. Which SUCK. Guess she was too busy with Grapefruit or You Are Here or some such bullshit to to be bothered with Kyoko….

Weird, I don’t remember anything about the Dragon Lady in the Playboy interview.

All right then, I wish you’d made clear you were supposedly quoting David Sheff the first time out. As for Yoko’s parenting skills, I had no comment whatever. But I have no doubt you’re correct: she could’ve been a better mother to Kyoko. And John likewise could’ve been a much better father to Julian, were he not out touring the world and recording albums. At least they both had a chance to raise Sean properly.

My apologies Von Bontee, for assuming you & the other regulars have every written word on all things FAB committed to memory! I’ll be sure to properly attribute quotes in future. Good day. (Sunshine.)

Haha OK, I’ll be the first to admit to gaps in my memory, or facts that never even made it that far! Peace.

Yoko doesn’t seem much like a “Dragon” anyway.  I see her more as a petulant, squealing, officious, occasionally shrieking with her feathered arms flapping Penguin.yoko-ono_01blue-meanie

Wow, Yoko’s new song “Take Me to the Land of Hell” is amazing. I’m pretty sure it’s a love song to John. It’s so good it made me cry.

Wonder if she had SatanHimself in mind while making it?

Does it come with a travel brochure and an insert advertising travel insurance?
