Sorry guys but I have to draw the line here. I don’t know if this thread is a sick joke or what. If it is, perhaps John himself would have laughed at it, who knows. But I was sixteen when John was murdered and it was a real trauma –for a whole year I had been waiting for his comeback. I admire all of you guys who took this with humor, but I can’t. I was clinically depressed for a whole year after John’s death. I can’t be part of this.

No one here is looking to cause offence or ever intends to make a joke out of John’s murder (i find it incredibly difficult to read or watch anything about it) and its not what this thread is doing. We’re having a laugh at such a stupid article.

OK guys, I get it. I’m a big fan of warring aliens, being a Trekkie and an X Files admirer myself. I know nobody in the forum meant any offense or was laughing at John’s murder, it’s just that… I can’ take the article the way you have. Gee, it’s been thirty four years and I still remember the day, the moment I heard the news, what I felt then I feel now. But everything’s cool. Cheers,
Oudis.

And I know exactly how you feel…; probably most of us here do.

This article x-posted to the news thread reminded me of this one. File under “news in the most generous sense”:
Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have been invited to perform at ‘Alien Woodstock’ in a bid to make extra-terrestrials reveal themselves to the planet.
The two musicians – who were joined in The Fab Four by the late John Lennon and George Harrison – are wanted by UFO expert Michael C. Luckman to play at the proposed event in Malibu, California.
Luckman – who is director of the New York Center for Extraterrestrial Research – has a theory there is a huge underwater alien base located six miles off of Malibu’s Point Dume in the Pacific Ocean and he wants to use a host of pop stars who believe in alien life to coax them out of their base.
As well as Paul and Ringo, Luckman also wants Yoko Ono – the widow of late Beatle John Lennon – her son Sean Lennon and Dahni Harrison, the son of deceased fourth band member George Harrison , to take part in the concert.

Wonder how the concert for aliens relates to their “war”? Are they trying to make the aliens Give Peace A Chance ?

It could be that Luckman thinks the aliens who man the underwater base (or rather “alien” it, since they are not men) are the ones responsible for John’s death. By luring them out, he may hope to seek vengeance against them for their crime. I don’t know who he may have enlisted to help him fight, though. It could be that he hopes to defeat them with Yoko’s voice.

Maybe they will get the aliens who are warring against the aliens who are responsible for Johns death. Maybe the final confrontation is gonna take place at the Alien Woodstock

By the way, I wonder if the octopus is still alive and where his garden is. Maybe he could help out somehow.
I’m not sure if it would be the same octopus, but I believe his garden – if still being tended – is located six miles off of Malibu’s Point Dume in the Pacific Ocean.
Ooops!!!!
