It’s just the kind of news you don’t want to be true. So easy to want to go into denial. You think, maybe there’s a chance I could meet her at a Beatles convention one of these days. Thoughts. Racing. Running.

I hear you. My wife and I go to The Fest for Beatles Fans every year, and Cynthia had been there in years past, so I’d always hoped that maybe they’d be able to get her back on the guest list soon. It’s a very sad day.

Don’t think I could get away with saying “Its a drag”
Because it’s more than a drag, it’s like a hit in the stomach.
Rest in peace, Cyn.

Came across this news on twitter, was like a punch to the stomach. Julian must be devastated, obviously. What an incredible mother she was to him.
I hope she passed away peacefully with all of her loved ones around her.
Rest in Peace, Cyn.

Damn, this is a shame. Especially for it to happen on a day when the news might not be taken seriously.
She was a classy lady and a talented artist. RIP

There was a hoax regarding Cynthia on Monday so when @parlance posted it before it began making the headlines (she is that good) i thought it was. Annoying people make such crap up. Very sad that the second report turned out to be true.

For some of us, many of the cool and hip people of the sixties are frozen in time: forever young. It comes as a genuine shock when they fade away. It shouldn’t of course, but it still does.
Life goes on, but for those who lived through and experienced the vibrant youth culture from that wonderful and amazing era, it is especially sad to see their passing.
Naively, we thought they were immortal. Perhaps their memory will be.

Very sad news. I’ve been sitting here reading A Twist of Lennon.
At least it seems it was not a long and drawn-out illness. There’s something to be said for that.
The Daily Mail article carries several tributes, including Paul’s, which I haven’t noticed in this thread (apologies for reposting if I’ve just missed it):
The news of Cynthia’s passing is very sad. She was a lovely lady who I’ve known since our early days together in Liverpool.
She was a good mother to Julian and will be missed by us all but I will always have great memories of our times together.
