Joe knows about the wonky post displays. He will be looking at it as soon as he can.

It is fine on mobile (Android phone) at the moment. I’ll check on a PC in a few.EDIT: still weird on PC.
I checked on my Android and while the posts look fine, the drop downs aren’t working properly.
If you can't log in and can't use the forum go here and someone will help you out.

I’m having the same drop down problem, AD40.
If anyone is noticing any other forum weirdness, go ahead and add it here so Joe can have everything in one place when he logs on to tinker with the settings.

As is always the case with updates they send everything wonky and its left to the site operators to spend hours contacting the help desk to get it all sorted. Probably gives the company folk something to do.
Interesting that some posts are showing up as normal, kind of like a game now of Quess Where The Post Lands. Who knows what issues the update caused.

Yeah, sorry everyone. I applied an update to Simple Press (the forum software earlier). There were also some updates to the theme, but they failed to apply. I had a quick check of the forum and it looked OK earlier today, but obviously somewhere along the line it became wonkified.
Updates are often cosmetic, but in this case it’s to comply with the new version of WordPress (with which the whole site is built). There’s a new version of WP every yearish, which has a lot of changes under the hood and means plugin authors (such as SP) have to rework things. I think that’s what happened here, though I don’t know a lot of the details.
Anyway, the theme updates did work now, so all should be back to normal. If things still don’t work hard-refresh your browser and/or clear your cache. If things still look odd, obviously leave a note here and I’ll take a look as soon as I’m able.
MMM – they did at least give us some warning.
Thanks AG for letting me know things were awry.

Fixed on my computer. I like when the forum goes strange sometimes since I know that it will be only temporary since Joe is really fast at fixing the sometimes very interesting problems.
If you can't log in and can't use the forum go here and someone will help you out.

I’ve been PM’ing with SG about our draw-offs, but our replies don’t show up after a few posts. It’ll be fine the first 3 or 4 messages (it differs per thread), but then the next replies don’t go through and neither the sender nor the recipient can see the new replies. Very odd. It’s not just Chrome either; the same thing happens in FF and Safari.
I think I figured it out; it was because we were hitting ‘reply’ to our own PMs and you can’t send PMs to yourself. You have to hit ‘reply’ to the other person’s PM.

Post displays are back to normal for me, too.
On mobile, the “actions” drop down menu that has now changed to a button is really cool.
