^ That’s weird. On alexa page for the site, the site should take 2.19 seconds to load. Maybe you can try other simple press forums like the test one and see if you have the same problems.
I have also had some problems with the forum. I have been having the log in glitch for 2 days so far on the main forum page on my computer.
If you can't log in and can't use the forum go here and someone will help you out.

When I logged in on my phone, I logged in while on the thread search thread. So now the login glitch happens in the thread search thread and not the main page.

What’s the glitch, @Starr Shine?? When you log in on a certain page and go back to that page later is says you’re logged out? Because that’s been happening on my phone for a long time, at least since the site’s makeover.

@Oudis – I’m very sorry to hear your experience posting here is not all beer & skittles (Port & Cigars?). I wish I could be more help, but I’m not a techie and I can’t duplicate your lag problem with Chrome as I don’t have any issues with it myself.
Is/was anyone else having a problem with this site taking a longer than normal time loading? If so, please reach out and let us know what you did to overcome it.
Thanks!

Port and cigars -you know me well by now @Zig! But for the life of me I can’t understand why it all started all of a sudden one day two weeks ago…

Possibly. Updates can affect your computer and internet performance. I’d suggest uninstalling it and seeing if that fixes the lag issues.

If you are running Skype or any Instant Messaging apps (or both) in the background they can slow your computer and internet down appreciably.
Speaking with a LOT of recent experience here

Running Skype doesn’t slow anything down for me, but I haven’t updated it recently… And maybe I shouldn’t!

@Mr. Kite & everybody else:
You know, there’s this site, oldversion.com or maybe oldversions.com (haven’t used it in years), that has all the previous versions of Skype, Mozilla, Chrome, you name it. Their motto is “Because newer isn’t always better”…

That’s great information! There are a lot of times I avoid updates or wish I hadn’t gone through with them.

iTunes have mastered the slighty-worse-with-every-update market.
Yes, and they still insist on trying to install all sorts of other spyware every update as well.

I gave up on iTunes years ago, partly because I stopped regularly running Windows or Mac, but also because its a terrible application. It’s only purpose is to keep you using it, they have no interest in:
1) making it run more efficiently
2) making it run with less RAM
3) fixing its sorting weirdness that makes using it on non-ipods a rage-inducing experience
4) taking away the non-essential stuff you didn’t ask for but are now being lumped with because you clicked the EULA
5) adding anything users have been pleading them for the last 5 years
6) making it possible to buy things from the iTunes store without it, surely the stupidest commercial decision in the music industry (and yes they ARE part of it now whether they like it or not), because people would instantly ditch it but they’d sell even more songs.
7) By now podcasts are the major thing keeping it limping along, because podcasters mistakenly believe they’re getting something out of it. When they figure out that they aren’t, maybe things will change, but I’m not holding my breath.
By now there are many ways to get and play music on your computer or mp3 player without the iTunes tax. At some point you have to decide. Thus endeth the penguinrant

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

The BB is still unpredictable, everything takes forever and my computer freezes every Now And Then . I don’t experience that when I’m surfing the Net with Mozilla Firefox (which doesn’t have the necessary plug-ins to use the BB). Maybe I just have a PC that’s too old and slow for the BB. In any case browsing and posting here is becoming increasingly frustrating.

The site is slow for me too. If I restart my computer then things are a bit faster for a while.
