I’ve gotten that message before, but somehow the posts were right were I thought they would be. What are the urls for the two threads?

I found it.

For some unknown reason its ended up at the beginning of the ‘In My Life – what’s happening in your life currently?’ thread despite the fact i haven’t had that thread open today. I have no idea why its there or how it even got there.

After a further two failed attempts the 15 posts have finally moved to where they should have been in the beginning.

Phew!! That was hard work.

The following people thank meanmistermustard for this post:

I’ve had it put posts in odd, random threads. Weirdness for sure. If you’re wondering folks, you sweat bullets when &^%$)# like that happens.

Not sure if this is related to your recent troubles, but earlier today, I had a message stating that I had a posts in queue waiting to be be moved and did I want to complete the move. Since I did not start the move, I clicked on “Cancel” and was directed to the In My Life – what’s happening in your life currently? thread.

ahdn_paul_06Yeah, I’m thinking that mod moves are somehow linking our accounts at those crucial moments.

Would be a pain if there is a link between the mods accounts as if whilst one mod is trying to move posts another gets asked do they want to move them then it could quite easily lead to confusion and all kinds of weirdness going on.

Were either or you looking to move posts to the ‘In My Life  – Whats Happening…’ thread? I certainly wasn’t.

No, I was not. I’ve never seen that before, so it could have been a one-off. Something to keep an eye on.

Very strange for posts to go to where they are not being sent.

Here’s hoping it is a one off as its a nightmare trying to find posts when you dont know where they have gone and you can’t remember most of the details or content.

I’ve learned to write down some key terms when I do moves so I can search if I get desperate.

The random ‘unable to log in’ thingie is getting worse for me – happens in some sub-forums as well now.

Don’t know whether it’s this dying laptop, or something else, but making a post on NZBeatle’s Top 100 earlier, I got this:

Error 403

We’re sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for /forum/the-songs/nzbeatlefans-top-100-beatles-songs-a-countdown/ on this server.

An invalid request was received from your browser. This may be caused by a malfunctioning proxy server or browser privacy software.

Your technical support key is: d4b7-80ac-1756-6707

You can use this key to fix this problem yourself.

If you are unable to fix the problem yourself, please contact joe at beatlesbible.com and be sure to provide the technical support key shown above.

Despite this, the post was still made, but I’m getting that message blocking me entering that thread every time I try to re-enter, but no other threads (as can be seen by my getting in here, though who knows what happens when I press “submit reply”!)

Edit: this posted fine, so whatever the problem, it seems to be that thread.

I just posted there and had no problems. May be one of those forum anomalies that appears every once in a while.

@meanmistermustard I can’t get in there at all. I got the message when I posted the post you replied to, and every route I try to get back into the thread, logged in or out, I get the same message. Totally locked out of that thread, and that thread only. Maybe @Joe will need to have a look!

Just accessed it on Firefox and Chrome! Usually on Opera, so it appears the problem is with Opera.

That’s interesting. It’s caused by a WordPress plugin that stops spambots from accessing the site. It’s useful, but shouldn’t stop legitimate users from getting through.

It looks like something in your Opera configuration might be getting a red flag, but I’m not sure how to fix it (browser configs can be complicated). I can whitelist your IP address if you let me know it (and if you’re on a static, unchanging IP).

I’ve also whitelisted that URL you mentioned (the NZ countdown), but I don’t know why that in particular was a problem for you/Opera.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at it, @Joe.

It is a little strange, as it’s just the one thread and not the whole site Opera’s blocking me from, and that the thread’s not a problem in other browsers. Thanks for the offer of whitelisting my IP address to see if that solves it, but I’m on the last days with this laptop. I have a shiny new laptop and am just waiting for a new internet dongle to arrive so that I can get it fully up and running.

If the problem happens with the new laptop, once it’s all set up, I’ll let you know.

Thanks again.
