Here’s something odd that’s been happening to me in the past week. I log in, and when it returns me to the Forums page I’m not logged in. It can happen several times in a row, enough to make me give up for the time being. I’ve tried refreshing, closing/re-opening tab, closing/re-opening browser, and rebooting – none seem to make a difference (although the sample set is small). If it’s not happening to anyone else, it probably is on my end though.
Same here and I have tried clearing cache and history etc etc. I am logged in while in a sub-forum but then logged out on the main forums list.

Keeps happening with me but its become worse since yesterday.
EDIT: I use Chrome.

Can you try again? I had installed a plugin to try to prevent some of the spam registrations we’ve been having, but I think it might have done some odd things. I had problems logging in this morning until I disabled it.
If you get the “Please log in to post” messages even after logging in, just try opening a thread. Hopefully once you’re inside it works OK. Sorry everyone.

Offline Well thanks to Joe for fixing the site again. I was unable to log in for about 3 days, and at first, I didn’t realize I could still contact people here while logged out — so I went searching for “Beatles Bible” on Twitter, Facebook, etc. and left frantic pleas 
out in the “Cloud”…
Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

Offline Just to add, there’s a login limit which stops people trying to brute-force entry. If someone tries 20 times they’ll be locked out for 72 hours. If you think you’ve forgotten your password use the reminder function rather than guessing, if you don’t want to risk being locked out. I might lower the 20 attempts limit in future, as it seems a bit generous.

Well – I almost failed that ‘human verification’ thing – must be a cause of worry?

Offline Joe mentioned to the mods in an email that he set up the drag-and-drop thing for registrations. I see that we are having to do it with each post now. There may just be a switch he needs to flip to make it for the registration process only.

Offline Has a thread accidentally been lost, or its title changed? Because I have a new notification telling me a post has been moved to Rare Beatles Vinyl? (Mis-Prints etc), but when I click on it it comes up that the thread doesn’t exist.
