Weird things happening with the forum | Page 125 | Fab Forum | The Beatles Bible

For anybody wondering about missing posts, I made the following reply to Holey in the “Impossible to Derail” thread on what has happened:

@Joe was doing some site maintenance earlier today, The Hole Got Fixed, and in the process something he did broke the History and Map sections on the main site. He rolled back to an earlier version of the site hoping that would fix the problem. It doesn’t seem to have done the trick.

He did put up a notice informing us of what was happening in the “Weird Things” thread, but that obviously disappeared when he rolled back.

Originally, he was looking to roll back a couple of hours hoping that would fix it, which it didn’t, so seems to have decided to roll back 24 hours to see if that would work, which it hasn’t.

I’d guess he’s a little fecked off and trying to work out how he fixes two important parts of the main site if rolling back isn’t doing it.

And he was apologetic in his “Weird Things” post about needing to try a roll back. Sometimes things go wrong when you’re trying to improve the way they work.

Be assured, @Elementary Penguin, that roll backs are never done lightly, and this is the first I can recall in some time. Knowing Joe, I know he regrets every lost post.
