The arms being up are kind of the most important thing about this smiley– the facial expression doesn’t make much of a difference. And this is already one of the bigger ones, the line spacing would be a MESS if it were any bigger.
Just sayin’.
Love one another.

Right, and the fact that’s the limit we’re faced with is…pretty bad, in all honesty.
I’m not trying to be a miser here. Just calling it like I see it.

Having taken a look at the forum you directed to, @MattWatchingWheels, I cannot see how we could pepper our posts and sentences with Smileys as much as we do.
In the thread I looked at, all Smiley use was at the end of a post. I can see why, way too big to use in the way we use Smileys here (though, admittedly, I only looked at the first three pages of one thread, and cannot imagine what posts look like if they have half-a-dozen Smileys spread throughout).
I think @Joe has the size right for how we use them.

^Well, our usage of the smileys has co-evolved with the size of the smileys. If they were too big to pepper our sentences with, we’d start putting them at the ends of sentences instead.
More importantly, though, I feel like those are really creepy Get past a certain size/resolution and the disembodied heads plant themselves firmly in Uncanny Valley.

I think the smileys are perfect the way they are, especially for how we use them. I wish I could use smileys outside of the forum.
I agree with the posts on the previous page. We should have Martha, a smiling Paul, Linda, Maureen and Klaus. I think a sad smiley would also be helpful, maybe something like this?

Again, even if we take the size off the table which I am willing to do given this is a forum limitation and likely not something Joe can fix, If you were to see the general collection of smileys they have, they’re varied and unique. They even have Gifs you can use. (Look me up as Beatles123 there. I use em a lot. You can check it out.)
Personally i’d rather have too many smileys than too little. Even WITH the one you posted (Which isnt the typical size.) I can at least see it well…but again, Joe can’t fix this part of it.

Huh, didn’t realize there was no Smilin Paul amongst those AHDN stills!
I guess all the coy and cheeky and comic poses convey his essential cheery aura so well that I never noticed the omission.

I’d like to see smileys based on the White Album era, for all the Beatles. A nice alternative to the early days emoticons.

Great pic but it’s missing the top of George’s head which wouldn’t work as a smiley…
originally had only one hand. Perhaps similar magic could be worked on that George.

I could definitely envision using it as a crazy/shocked kind of expression.

^Fiddy, no, it’s tiny.
EDIT: I’m stupid, it’d end up tiny anyway so it doesn’t matter.
