He keeps moving it on me, but there's a loose panel in the back, so you can reach the good scotch. a-hard-days-night-ringo-9

The font colour for links on the main part of the site has changed from red to blue. I was reading about web-safe colours and how people tend to click more on blue than any other colour (Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft all use blue). Blue is also generally associated with calmness and safety, though associations do vary from culture to culture.

Google has done considerable testing on the best shade of blue to use to encourage clicks. It's a funny thing to think of. Anyway, I changed it to see if it has any effect.

That's it!!

On my way to work this morning I was cut off by rude drivers several times, got caught up in a repaving zone (why do road crews do this in the middle of rush hour?) and was in a foul mood. Then, I go to BB.com and suddenly feel like I'm in a hot tub with a cold beer. Very soooooooooooothing.

In short – I like it.apple01

Fantastic! Glad it worked. It feels a little weird having blue links after three years of red, but I'm sure I won't notice it after a while.

I'm also considering a mobile version of the site and some other design changes. Will see how far I get.

Mobile site would be great!

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I created a version using Mobify(.com) but couldn’t get the design working properly so I killed it. But the Mobify people were very helpful and offered to advise if I wanted to give it another go. It’s really a matter of sitting down and testing it using a couple of different handsets. Wait a while and I’ll do it when I have a spare weekend.

Oh my, that didn't work at all. The blue links are cool, and I appreciate the work on a mobile site.

Joe, when I try and view the new “The Beatles Never Broke Up thread, it takes memto the old one. Can you fix it somehow?

Does that thread even exist? Which page is linking to it? What is “the old one”? More details please…

EDIT OK, you mean this old thread: https://www.beatlesbible.com/fo…..-broke-up/

So what's the problem? If two threads were created with precisely the same title then it might have caused a problem. Otherwise I have no idea.

EDIT 2 – it might have been the question mark in the title. I've changed it, and the url, so it now works: https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..roke-up-2/

Also, I notice the flags to show nationality on article comments. My question is, why are your flags contadictory? Sometimes it's the EU flag, and elsewhere it's GB's flag.

I'm sorry Joe for the trouble! I should have known that you would already have that thread up. Oh well. Sorry!

I salute the lady who screamed "I love you Paul!" at a tribute band's concert.

Oh, the flags thing was an experiment. I didn’t know it was showing up. I managed to wreck the geo-IP detect on the Amazon ads, and I was trying to bring it back. I tried a few things to test it was working, and that was one of them.
