Most folk only know Georges solo music on All Things Must Pass and a handful of other songs but he made such fabulous music which deserves to be heard. So a thread to do so.

I Really Love You
Love Comes To Everyone
Dark Sweet Lady is up there with the best of Pauls love songs, George wrote it for Olivia early on in their relationship. I Really Love You is a strange song in Georges archive, a highlight of Gone Troppo .

“Dark Sweet Lady” is indeed beautiful on first listen, wonderful use of seventh chords. I always meant to get George’s self-titled album: I’ve heard many times it’s one of his best, but I was put off by some other post-ATMP material I own; was disappointed with a lot of Living In The Material World , and Extra Texture , which is largely insipid.

Extra Texture is a pretty dull album, never been a fan of Dark Horse or Extra Texture . The albums get better with subsequent releases as George finds happiness and love with Olivia and Dhani is born.

I agree with ‘Extra Texture ‘ and ‘Dark Horse ‘ both of those albums are my least favorite by George although there are a few good songs on each of the two albums. I really like the ‘George Harrison ‘ album. The thing with George is he always put his emotions and feelings into what he was writing and always felt that he wanted his music to have meaning that would stand up through time. He did write some witty tunes as well but the bulk of his material always had a meaning to them I that is why I have always appreciated his music.
