Here is a quick cover, picked one of my favorite songs, chords and lyrics were easy to remember so I was able to just play it without too much preparation. Happy Birthday George

Thanks Sir Crisp (oops I mean @sir walter raleigh). That is a great Harrisong we don’t get to hear very often. Is that a Braves jersey I see? Giants fan here and opening day is coming soon.
Thanks for the shoutouts and for AppleScruffJunior graciously allowing me to run with Georgemas this year. We did hear from quite a few of the inactive club members via PM (parlance sent a nice thank you note) but perhaps our Fiendish Thingy energy was overwhelming for a one-off, quick visit. The important thing is all 89 members knew to wish George a Happy 80th Georgemas.
@Beatlebug, yes there was some judicious editing on most of the features. The Pattie Boyd chapter about Friar Park also contains the beginning of Eric’s romantic pursuits. It was a little tricky cutting out the salaciousness without losing the narrative. One-half of the article about George’s childhood home is about how badly Liverpool was bombed by the Germans in WW2 (50 raids killed 4000 people and destroyed 90,000 homes). The story of George’s childhood home was buried in the horror of the original piece. On a personal note, I saw The Life of Brian with some conservative Catholic acquaintances when it first came out. They hung in there until the end when the Crucifixion parody scene set to the song “Always Look To The Bright Side of Life” came on. They walked out of the theatre and never spoke to me again. I wrote up a full account on that one (along with pictures and video) but in the end decided it wasn’t that relevant to Georgemas and edited myself.
Anyhoo as I promised one of the club founders EE, I will try to honor the original purpose of the thread a bit more when FebROOoary is over!

And now, the morning after, I find myself, fittingly, listening to this beautiful, uplifting piece of music:
Oh, I loved this movie. I had no idea that Dhani was involved. The last scene when she is driving back to New York is so filled with joy. I like it even better now that I know who created the music. Pops would be proud…

You did? Cool, maybe I should watch it then. I heard it wasn’t that great, but I will 100% watch movies for their soundtracks, and the soundtrack to this film is absolutely gorgeous and you should definitely give it a listen on its own.
