"Stop throwing jelly beans at me"- George Harrison

I’ve had Apple Scruffs stuck in my head all day, that harmonica is just so catchy.
The song is so sweet, it’s probably one of my favorite Harrisongs.
Now for my picture of the day:

^Great choice. I much prefer his takes/demos to the finished version. It’s much more ‘cosier’ and closer than the finished version which is way too overproduced, damn you Spector!! *shakes fist*
Also a regular reminder for me to curse @AppleScruff from taking what was to be my original username, I was very annoyed when I saw it was taken They were active for a month and had a whopping 17 posts in 2011 *shakes fist at AppleScruff*.

I haven’t heard that version before, but I do agree with you; the production on this version is better. I like it on some tracks (like on Wah-Wah , it fits the mood of the song but even that blends the instruments together too much for me sometimes), but I dislike it in most cases (like on the Let it Be album). I’ve only heard some of George’s early demos, but I’ll have to listen to the rest of them when I find the time.
On a different note, AppleScruffJunior is a great username.

I think AppleScruffJunior is a great name because you’re of the generation of junior Apple Scruffs who weren’t “there” but follow in the footsteps of the original Apple Scruffs . And now I’m gonna have to listen to the song…

I personally prefer AppleScruffJunior as it’s a neat twist on the normal take (like I did) of simply taking a song title as your forum name, and you could have gone with something awful like CrustyOrange.

Ah lads any self-image issues I may have had before have been wiped away with your lovely comments *wipes tear from eye*.

Junior is a boy’s name though and she’s a girl. Maybe AppleScruff’sGranddaughter?
Ah but my name isn’t Junior, it’s ‘AppleScruffJunior’, all one word. I had to ask for a special form with extra boxes so I could fill in my name on my driver licence form.
I fought bureaucracy and surprisingly I won!
Both sides of my grandparents were slightly too old to be Beatles fans and my parents are slightly too young to be first generation. It’s a conundrum.

Well, but is it a name or a suffix? Also, does it matter?
That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet x.
The day is still ongoing for whoever wishes to do Day 12 of Georgemas.

@Expert Textpert I’m pretty sure it’s a suffix in this case, not a name. The name is derived from the suffix.Day 12 a silly Harrison guitar meme for you all
@Dark Overlord
And a song which I probably posted last year but it’s time to pull it out again
But can a girl be named something like Amy Smith, Jr.?

I did a quick Google search and it appears that, while it’s less common than father-son names, the suffix Junior can be and is indeed used when a girl is named after her mother in that manner.
A most interesting diversion, and I thank you for bringing it up, because I learned something today.

For Day 13, we’ll also do a little discussion because why not:
Question: What is your favourite George album cover and why?

Some people have to spoil it for everyone else don’t they?!?
Let’s just ignore that I was ‘one’ of those people, right?
I really like George’s preferred cover for Somewhere In England (instead of the boring bland one we got from Warner Bros.). He looks like he’s wearing a Native American headdress.

Seconded I always thought it was a headdress, took me ages to see the England even after it was pointed out. It’s so beautiful.
