He’s almost as pretty as George. He’s so close.
(he looks so much like George in that picture, I can’t stand it)
That’s the first photo I ever saw of Dhani. The first time I saw that photo, it was on someone’s mock-up of the Let It Be cover for a fantasy 2000s Beatles album where Sean and Dhani had replaced their fathers*. I remember seeing it and thinking “why have they used a colour photo of George from about 1964 alongside the pictures of Sean and sixty-somethings Paul and Ringo? “
*I think it’s safe to say never in a million years would this have happened or worked anyways!

Offline Definitely still a strong resemblance, but not strong enough that I get them mixed up. (Older George is a lot cuter if you ask me but Dhani’s not bad either 😉 )

Haha, exactly. I love my Sadie’s creamy gorgeousness far too much to paint over — you know how many guitars I passed up to find The Perfect White One? But if I had some extra cash* I might be interested in acquiring a really don’t-care-coloured guitar expressly for the purpose of decorating extravagantly.

well I don’t know which one you like better… but while I preferred Blackstar overall, I think it’s definitely an album I’d only listen to on special occasions, so I would get Reality, and also because it has Days on it and that song is the best thing since sliced Bowie…
AAHGHERRHRHGHHHHHHM GEORGE! RIGHT! 
I just love Deep Blue. I was feeling rather blue last night so I listened to that song; the music is cheerful and melancholy at the same time, and the lyric kinda reminded me that I didn’t have it that bad, even though he wasn’t singing in a self-pitying way, but rather a gently resigned tone. {This post is not entirely off-topic}

Offline Songs made by George with the word “blue” tend to be extra good. For You Blue , Tired Of Midnight Blue, Deep Blue, Sue Me, Sue You Blues, Marwa Blues, Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea (and Blue Jay Way and Out Of The Blue , to a certain extent…)
Then again, songs made by George tend to be extra good, whether they have “blue” in the title or not.

Going back to this because I like to break hearts. Dhani said one of the most difficult things shortly after his father died was looking in the mirror because he would just see George staring back.
