This is where I meant to put this.
Olivia found a new George song and gave it to Ringo:

That proves once again what a beautiful soul George has!
I also absolutely love this quote by him from Beatles Books Monthly November 1964:
I’m extremely interested in people. I think I make an easy target for folk who like to talk about themselves. It takes a long time for them to bore me because I enjoy listening to new ideas and different opinions. That’s what life is for– to find out fresh things and learn new facts.
Caring and wise.

Another cute and also very funny appearance of George 1968 in the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour:

^ I love his clothes on that appearance, you wouldn’t think green-striped trousers, a pink ruffled shirt, and a leather jacket would go together but apparently they do.
Also I freaking love his ’68 hair, my God , it’s absolute perfection!

I know, right?!
(I thought it was an orange shirt )
George just has this je ne sais quoi about him that he can pull off stuff like that and still look fab.

Mmmm… been debating where to post this, here or in the Dhaily Dhannerz thread, but since it’s to do with Annie Lennox receiving the George Harrison Global Citizen Award it seemed more here than there, though it does also involve Dhani…
Ahead of the ceremony, Annie and Dhani put out this message…
While at the ceremony, with Olivia looking looking, delivered a speech about what the award meant, the importance of global citizenship, and George, before being joined by Dhani at around the 6:40 mark for a performance of Isn’t It A Pity (with more than a nod to Hey Jude as it goes on!)…
Also, I also came across this, from Jools Holland’s 2001 into 2002 Hootenanny (an annual BBC2 programme seeing in the New Year). A few short weeks after the loss of George (filmed on 12 December), they finished the show with this tribute, featuring Sam Brown, Beverly Knight, John Cale and David Gray on vocals, Ronnie Wood on guitar, Jools on piano, backed by Jools’ Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and a cast of many others…

This is an incredible gif. George looks like he’s about to kick your face in – a true “I’m George Harrison . We’re the f*****g Beatles!! Who the f**k are you? F**k off” moment. Even John looks like he’s backing off.

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I was going through some photos last night (purely for drawing research purposes, you understand ) and it struck me yet again* how beautiful George’s smile was — like his face was reluctant to break its habitual seriousness, but he couldn’t resist an outpouring of joy/mirth/positive vibration anyway.
I also adore the way he talks out of one side of his mouth —
Cutest doggone thing
*There’s a post somewhere in this thread from December of 2015, I think, where I rant and rave about how g(e)orgeous his smile is for a lot more paragraphs that this. So I’m trying to keep it succinct this time around.

I’d like to comment on George’s amazing vocal on I’m Just Happy To Dance With You. He sounds so awkward and unsure of himself as a lead singer, and that only helps the song as he sounds meek and humble.

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.
